That's a issue, isn't it? I mean, Nintendo has to always have something to sell a game now. Sometimes the ideas work: Splatoon and sometimes it just isn't needed: Starfox Zero.

That's the sad thing, they don't. They seem to think they NEED a hook for every console and game when they really don't. I mean, if the NX is revealed next E3 and it's literally a strong console with the pro controller, I think people would scream at the fact Nintendo finally get it. Splatoon for example is good fun, but that the pad etc doesn't add anything. It's just a fun game. If they spent more money on new titles instead of just hoping gimmicky stuff might stick.

Starfox was easy to do. People love the N64 one, and that's all they wanted again. Another adventure like that. But, nope.

Well, I can tell you right now that NX will have a new gimmick being labeled as a innovation if all the PR speak about the console is correct.

Yup, which is why I'm just done with Nintendo now. Since they sold Rare I've had little reason to bother with them, but the Wii and Wii u have been the worst consoles ever for me.

Does anybody know if Star Fox Zero at least keeps the ship damage from the N64 game? (Like the ship's wings would get destroyed and would impact your flying.) It was actually a really cool part of the game.

They'll probably jump onto the VR scene and claim that they're the first to make it fun, haha.

someone isn't happy. i guess this explains why the game wasn't at E3. Nintendo America doesn't seem to care. No Amiibo, no Mario, rated M = no interest.

I would laugh if this game gets ported to XBOX and PlayStation.

Poor Itagaki, didn't get any love from his publisher at E3. Honestly, he picked the wrong console to pu this game on. Should have been a Playstation 4 exclusive.

It probably isn't as simple as "shouldn't have made it a Wii U exclusive". I mean, it could also have been that a lot of publishers weren't interested and that Nintendo was one of the better options. If Sony wasn't interested, then there probably would have been no chance of it being exclusive to PS4 at all.

Not sure why the game would have to be exclusive to one platform at all though.

So, the battlefront closed beta is out and from what I've heard, it's terrible. Really old school ideas of pick up powerups and you can no longer be a pilot. It's been reduced to a perk depending on how many kill streaks you get...

I think we all know Fallout 4 is the most anticipated game from E3 this year. I have been playing the other Fallout games recently. Which Fallout game is your favorite, everyone?

Despite owning all but Vegas (older ones were free on GoG), I've only played fallout 3 and only got so far. I just felt like it was a chore more than fun to play. Vegas was apparently much better though and this new one looks more fun as you can actually use the scrap you collect etc.

The new hitman sounds terrible:

First of all I fucking HATE when someone makes a game that's actually like the eighth in the series but just names it the same as the first one. It makes searching for the original a nightmare and it's just dumb and leaves a bad taste in my mouth (especially because it's usually far worse or such a huge departure, See: Devil May Cry, Tomb Raider, probably DOOM too)

As far as this game goes, it sounds a bit gimmicky. I hate to say it, but I wish they just made a fucking Hitman game. What's the story with all the evolving digital content etc? Sounds like pie in the sky dreams that'll end up just being 'Lots and lots of DLC' in practice.

I really hope I'm wrong and it turns out fun, but I have my doubts. I mean, is all this content going to require a subscription fee? Or is it going to be really lazy randomly generated maps and targets  once a month?

Wait, Nintendo wasn't going to release the game in Western markets or something?

Never played the old ones, but saw lots of people concerned about this game. Sounds like their fears were founded :(

I actually think it looks like pure trash tbh.

Try New Vegas, I thought FO3 was the worst of the series. Moody thinks it's her favourite though, so your mileage may vary.

Actually, scratch that, try 1 and 2 first. They are amazing games, just be prepared for old school mechanics. Ask us for tips, as a lot of it is 'In the manual' as old games used to do.
