I'm positive the Sonic fandom won't mind this postpone and appreciate Sonic Team taking more time to put in effort and quality into the game.

I don't even mind if it delayed to 2023, as long as it's good.
At least as good as Mario Odyssey (the only Mario game that I love, not counting Olympic series).

Maybe if it was a Tabletop Simulator mod... but does SAGE accept "fan merch" and non-digital content? Given I may need to print out content to make a physical mock of it.

I never really read the rule details,
but they said "The goal is to help promote and showcase people's creations in an easy and free way"
so I though it could be anything.
