I have tried the franchises on 3DS before.
It's definitely inspired by the original Phantasy Star Online.
The difference that it could take hours just to kill one monster. 

Looking at gameplay trailers, it does remind me of PSO as well as Shadow of Colossus. And a bit of Final Fantasy MMOG.
