But I agree it'll have a cult following. It seems a lot of people who played the game really loved it, I'm still wondering if I'm missing something.

Honestly I was legit shocked you didn't like it when you played it. Everyone I talk to and recommended the game loved it, it wasn't even up for Nagoshiation.

Were you equally shocked when I revealed I really didn't like Alien: Isolation?

Although I feel I was just in the wrong mindset for that one. Binary Domain I was expecting to enjoy and really was looking forward to it, but I ended up just not liking it at all.

Yeah I was EVEN more shocked with Alien: Isolation. The alien chasing me early on was one of my favourite parts.

The reason I dropped the playthrough was legitimate, my sister is staying with me for three weeks and I'm going to be doing touristy stuff the whole time. I haven't been able to play any games at all for a week.

The fact that I wasn't enjoying the game much at that stage was a happy coincidence.

I think I just was in a bad state to enjoy the game when I was playing. I intend to re-visit it at some point and hopefully enjoy it.

They were following the same path as Sega but decided to invest in big titles for consoles and now everyone is praising the company again.

So it was actually Haruki Satomi who made these comments? I thought it was strange Hajime would say such things, he just seems so old that he wouldn't care about videogames. He seems to be into his casino's and resorts.

Haruki though, hes the one who got SEGA so heavily into mobile. So the guy obviously has power. It's not like SEGA is hated by investors at the moment either, mobile is where the money is. So I imagine this Haruki guy is being sincere. I'm willing to believe. He has nothing to gain by lying about this. Investors don't care about console games.

O_O It was Satomi Son?!? Man, This guy has a lot be respected. He made Networks from the grounds, revive "the interest" of creating strong ideas for Arcade developers who became mobile devs also and more. Maybe he has more ideas to come. Maybe a Visionary Filosofy for the manGs .

I have to say I'm totally unfamiliar with that series so I have no idea how it's been received.

I don't think Binary Domain is as generic or more so than Gears and I don't think it'll be forgotten. It's the definition of a cult following.

Honestly I think "cult following" might even be too generous, I'd actually nearly forgotten that it existed until it was brought up here. I think Vanquish fits far more in with the "cult following" label. I'm about 90% sure that the announcement of a Vanquish sequel would drum up far more excitement than a BD sequel, though I could be wrong.

You mean you hope there's a Sonic game coming and lets hope SEGA doesn't tie it with Nintendo again. And forget about Sonic , all the other Teams should be on the PS4 too. SEGA Japan have zero tech and almost zero presence on the consoles and really need to up their game .

Not so long ago I was told by some here that consoles are dead , how times change and lets hope the Sonic cycle does too

I'm still fairly confused as to what games this guy's referring to then. I guess he must be referring mostly to Sega's Western-developed games?

But anyway. Regardless. I hope this means more Japanese console support that's released worldwide. Would be nice. Most Sega fans tend to be fans of Japanese games, so....
