Do you believe that is true? I mean, you think Microsoft said "NO" to Bayonetta and said yes to a new IP? At least Bayonetta sold 1.2 million and proved that it had fans. It makes zero sense to me. But if you think its 100% correct thats fine.
Also find it weird that Sony would be all for bringing Yakuza games over but won't nab a exclusive by a big named developer from Japan. Very strange, no?
Personally think that Platinum Games likes working with Nintendo and Nintendo working with Platinum Games. I don't think the deal with farther than that since they where already working with Nintendo. I think the franchise sticking with Nintendo is a bad move in the long run, just the way that sticking Sonic on there as exclusive would have been a bad move.
Dude, when your answer to official statements by the developers is tinfoil hat conspiracy drivel, I frankly don't know what to tell you. It got to the point where Kamiya started blocking people when idiots kept consistently asking why this game made with Nintendo money was only on a Nintendo console.
But to answer your question, if I think both Microsoft and Sony would say "no" to an expensive yet niche title that never really sold all that much in 2 consoles?
Well...yes, of course. It's pretty obvious to me, should be to you too. Whatever projects they're doing right now is irrelevant to the fact of how hard it is to sell a pure action game or how much they like working with this or that developer. Kamiya's working on Scalebound with Microsoft and they still said no to Bayo 2. Some shit gets greenlit, other shit doesn't. Period. The answer is much more boring than you seem to think it is.
After having a nerdrage hissy fit when Bayo 2 was first announced, you know what I learned after playing it? I go where Bayonetta is, Bayo 3 could be announced to fucking Mac tomorrow and I'd start making plans to get one in the future. As to the future of the franchise, if Nintendo seems to be the only one willing to fork money for the series, that's the best possible outcome it could ever have. Because brand loyalty and console wars are retarded. I'm in this hobby to play games.
