The Kinect stuff really kind of spoiled the party for Crimson Dragon, but it does deserve another shot.  In the meantime I wish Sega could do a digital rerelease of the Saturn Panzer games.

The world; she doth be a cruel mistress at times  :))

Despite the nostalgia for those games, I doubt they'll do that well now so I can't see SEGA rereleasing them. They haven't aged well at all.

For anyone wondering why Monster Boy or say Shenmue III or Project X Zone isn't on here,  well SEGAbits already have covered the other more legitimate SEGA related Releases in their 2016 Release schedule thread, so anything I'm missing should be on there.

Yup. All three are legitimately using IPs. Monster Boy would have been here had they stuck with the Flying Hamster 2 title, but they are official now - just can't use the Wonder Boy/Monster World name.

Bit cheeky, but does Shenmue get a shout for basically introducing or refining quite a lot of games in big or small ways? Even to this day many developers come out and speak of the ground work Shenmue created.

Yeah Barry just listened to your podcast last night, very interesting, I didn't realise they had access to the licenses assets as such or in any official way, nice to know the original creator is on board, I've actually been curious if you guys would be interested in asking Ed Annunziata in for an interview on the Swinging Report Show about his future projects and possibly about his history with Sega regarding the Ecco IP etc. Obviously you guys have your own agenda but I can't help but ask, I think he's probably one of the most outspoken developers ever :)

Thanks for checking out the show!

We do have our own schedule, and some really cool upcoming guests, but I'll gladly add Ed to list list of possible future guests.

For mobile, there is Venture Kid, a pixelated platform game features 8-bit graphics, taking inspiration from Megaman and the Sega's 8 Bit Classic character, Alex Kidd.

Interesting,  I tried to find a download for this on Android but to no avail, is it just an iPhone exclusive?

For mobile again, there is City Taxi Duty, a "racing around town" game that's taking inspiration from SEGA's famous open world racing video game, Crazy Taxi.
Released two days ago for iOS.

Shadow Gangs (for PC, Linux, and Max), inspired by 80's arcade ninja action game like SEGA's Shinobi.

I'll have a look at these both soon and look to add them, as for the taxi game is concerned I'm in two minds as I went on the Google play store and there's quite a few crazy Taxi copy cat games on there so I will look to see if it stands out enough, will spruce up the thread a bit as well like my other one about the development Studios.

Yeah, Google Play is like that, that's why some people prefer ios than android for mobile gaming since its appstore is more filtered.

And now for PC, there's another game inspired by Wonder Boy again, and has been greenlit on STEAM.
It's AGGELOS.
