I hate it when the weather changes abruptly. Yesterday, not only it started raining heavily, but temp dropped about 10ÂșC, that's enough for anyone to break down.

I am very politically active in the US and I try to keep tabs on a number of other countries and their politics, chiefly Canada, Germany, UK, France and.... peculiar Russia. I also try and keep up with North Korea, but given how much of a closet nation they are finding any real news is pretty difficult. I follow Australia and New Zealand a bit too, but not explicitly.

Anyways, she told me she did register today, it had been a few days since I last asked. So happy about that : ). Good luck to Layton, I don't agree with him on everything but I want Harper out of there, and I like most of his positions.

It's great to hear that you're so politally active. As long as Harper doesn't end up with a majority government, I'll be happy. I'm mostly concerned about the NDP winning in my riding. If they get a ton of seats nationally, that'll be a nice bonus.

Seriously IGN?

Favorite part is where they feel the need to explain a sports phrase to gay people. That is like me making an article and explaining a paycheck to our black audience. Don't do it.

From what I gather, it was mostly done as a joke article by one of there editorial guys who happens to be gay.

After receiving GameInformer for a few months now I can say that I think pretty much everything they write is bunk. The only things I really like reading in their magazine are the previews because they usually have exclusive looks at upcoming titles.

Bin Laden gets killed, US has body right when Obama's poll numbers decline greatly and there is a election next year?

Could have pulled a Bush and made gas cheaper.

I'd be more than happy to debate politics with you through PM or MSN, I'd prefer MSN, or even Steam chat if you have that. Google chat is another option.

With Osama Bin Laden's confirmed death, most of the justification, criticism and rhetoric against the US actions die with it.

It is pretty ironic that after so many years of people wanting to turn the hunt for Bin Laden into a joint global effort and not some lone cowboy playing by his rules, it turns out that the CIA and a group of US Navy Seals did the job after years of research and a well planned attack.

I guess the "The Dark Knight" approach worked after all...

We might need to open a politics thread, but I would want the mods to approve it first as such subjects can get heated. I will say however that I disagree with how the United States has handled itself in its' middle eastern wars, and think that both Bush and Obama have been terrible presidents.

If the mods don't approve of a political thread then I'd be more than willing to take people up on said discussions via gchat, AIM, MSN or Steam.

A politics thread could be interesting.

Speaking of which: today's the big day here in Canada. I'll be out there volunteering for a good 13 hours. Right now it's looking like another minority government for the Conservative party, but the everyone will know for sure tonight when the results roll in.

Also:
It's pretty tough to find clothes that don't line up with the colours of one of the parties involved in the election. It's kind of a thing here where you're not supposed to wear the colours of one of the parties if you're going to be volunteering at a polling station. The idea is that you might sway the vote if an undecided voter comes in. So I've got to stay away from red, blue, green and orange.
No orange chucks today :(.

My girlfriend will be casting her first vote today, very excited for her. Also that colors thing is a load of bollocks  :| And you have orange chuck taylors? What a badass, NDP, Sega fan and orange converse?  We'll need to meet someday.

Sure why not, if you want to give me your MSN we could continue the Nagoshi debate of Cube meltdowns and Dreamcast years and beyond too.

I do not think we'd oppose any discussion, as long as it does not degenrate to the usual.

Right Winger: Everyone on the left are just DUMB and CRAZY
Left Winger: Everyone one the right are just EVIL and GREEDY

Would be interesting to see everyone's political view.

Hence why I'm having second thoughts about joining NeoGaf.
But I guess we've done OK, we've had some arguments about a number of matters (gun control, military operations, the whole student protests in the UK thing, etc, etc) and it almost always never went out of control.

To answer the question, I tend to be more pro-right wing on a great number of issues, though many of my closest personal friends are, for the most part, left-leaning.

Spending all my money to make myself feel better does NOT make me feel better in the long run.
