Seems there is a film festival in Manchester on Sunday (after this one) that highlights all types of Spanish films (from Peru, Mexico, Spain, Argentina etc), I heard that understanding Catalunya is difficult due to the Celtic way they speak the Spanish, but hey are also the most depressing of films.

I may check it out since I am learning Spanish.

Fantastic documentary series I recommend to all: "Hollywood: A Celebration of the American Silent Film"

My dad has the series on VHS, it never made it to DVD due to a long list of rights issues. 13 episodes total on 13 tapes, each tape sells for $100 each (more if sealed). Thankfully, the whole thing is on YouTube:
