That is some mighty cash there. You think it'll be the decisive player Arsenal has been needing for so long?
I hope so. But this signing has more than just an impact on the quality of the team as well as the perception of the club.
For a while now we've been known as misers, unwilling to spend any sort of respectable figure to get the player we want as well as selling our star players. Basically a selling club, the purchase of Ozil is (Hopefully) a signal of intent, trying to drag us back with the elite clubs of Europe and furthermore, back to the top of the English game.
Still early days, we've had a horrible transfer window (Only one proper striker in our team! (No I'm not including Bendtner, destroyer of Portuguese dreams (r) )) and signing players of Ozil's calibre should become the norm for us, not the exception. But I am hopeful that this might be the turning point, last time our accession started and ended with Dennis Bergkamp, maybe Ozil can do the same.
