Well in a town near my house, called "Alberti", a guy is doing the same thing...but these guys (or guys...) are actually hurting people...and all the neighbors are now really scared most for their childs, because these "clowns" are most of all messing up with childrens...

My head is killing me. Hope I'm not coming down with the flu or something. I think I might have a fever too, not sure. Don't feel like scientifically checking at the moment.

I was probably the one who made it awkward, sorry guys. I do appreciate the advice Will, not sure if I'm ready to go see a professional or not just yet though. I still have a weird fear of it. Also not sure my current health insurance would cover it.

Don't bother. Anti-depression medicine sucks and you don't want to use it unless you're really bad off or something. They hand it out like it's candy in the US, too. Don't know if Australia does or not. It can really affect your emotions though, and in not so good ways. It can even make you suicidal even if you never were before. Not something to take lightly.

Hmm.. Now I'm really skeptical about taking my wife to see a psychiatrist. She's been really messed up emotionally lately and I don't know what to do. It's been really bad since my daughter was born.

If your wife needs help, then get it to her. Just be sure that either you are there with her or she knows that medicine should be a last option.

Will is right in that the US tends to just throw prescriptions at everything hoping it will go away. Opting for drugs such as those will only increase the dependence on them, quite literally like an addiction and should only be used sparingly.

TLDR Get help and avoid drugs at all reasonable costs.

I assume this means that it looks good in action...but unless they've gotten rid of that hellish Virtual Coin system, then I'm still out on the series.

2K14 was ruined for me seeing as it was nearly turned into a pure $60 FP2 game.

Hmm, I haven't played a NBA 2K game since... like... 2K3? Read about this. WTF, all I wanted was to play the Space Jam mod in a next gen engine.

I mean i don't wanna give advice to anyone who is super depressed. If you're super depressed then yeah, seek help. Try seeing a pyschologist first if you can, though. They can help you talk through your problems. All a psychiatrist is gonna do is get drugs prescribed, because that is their job.

I was talking in MademanG's case though. He's only mildly depressed. He doesn't want to go anywhere near anti-depression medicine. I've been on various pills through out my life for both anxiety and depression. Anti-depression medicine is used to "fix" both problems.

I never really felt a difference. Until one day when I was visiting my normal doctor, he prescribed me two full bottles of Effexor. Didn't even see a specialist. Effexor was the first anti-depression drug where I felt a difference, within a day even. It wasn't a good difference though. I was feeling like small electric shocks in various places in my body, probably nerve related. I looked up Effexor side effects and was like

That's when I first realized how serious the side effects of anti-depression medicine is. It has helped people though. it's not like its evil. but, it's not a good thing either. It's something you want to tread carefully with. Anti-Depression drugs are serious stuff. They can completely change a person's personality. They have made some people emotionless. Also some of them, like Effexor are downright hell to stop taking if you've been taking for for an extended period of time.

Try googling "Effexor withdrawl" if you want to see some horror stories.

I agree that Doctors do throw prescription drugs at every little issue, but I do think that anti-depressions do work if used correctly with prescription and therapy. If you need help and think "I just feel shitty and don't know what to do".

There is a withdraw, but that is with every drug you take for long peroids of time. They slowly take you off of it. I had a friend that was super depressed and never talked to ANYONE and hated EVERYTHING, he took it for a course of a year, totally different person (he has been off of it for like 4-5 years).

Yeah, well i mean it's going to affect everyone differently. just like anything else. but in general, it's just something you wanna be careful with anti-depression medicine, they are known for having bad side effects if you get them.

If you got mild depression like I get occasionally is better to just deal with it and try other methods like eating more healthy or taking Vitamins. Lack of vitamins can affect your mood.

Yes, there are negative effects and he experienced some with some of the brands, he had to go in and continue getting other brands till they found one that worked best for him.

Is it me, or does the Forum seem a bit wider than before?
