I hope the Conservatives are not in power by Friday. That would be bad, very bad. Let's not go backwards but forwards!
It could be worse, Labor got in power over here and so far all theyve done is waste money on rorts and shady enterprises.
They set up 'Insulation' subsidies that meant anyone could become an insulator for homes, and resulted in several deaths and houses burning down due to extremely lax regulations. Not to mention people that got totally ripped off by shoddy work.
They also introduced a ridiculously stupid building program for schools where they would have certain approved building companies (ie: the Union boys that got them elected) would build $50,000 buildings for $800,000 paid by the government. Also, they refused to build anything but large sheds, if you needed a new gym/cafeteria/landscaping/computers, "Fuck you, you're getting a million dollar shed".
Also they are spending huge amounts of money on some stupid broadband network for ultra high speed interwebs. Sounds sensible, until you realise it will take EIGHT YEARS for this to be done, by which time it'll surely be obselete anyway. Also, only one Telecommunication company is actually capable of winning the bid to do it.
Also, they want to censor the whole internet by introducing a filter that only allows government-approved sites to be viewed in the country.
Also, on a state level, they just blew $5 Billion on a 'Metro Train' system plan. That's right, the 'Plan'. They never actually built or did anything, just thought about it for a bit, bought loads of land, hired shit-tons of engineering companies then said "nahhhh".
Also they want to introduce 'Death Duties' so your family has to pay taxes when you die, because apparantly they haven't made up enough retarded taxes to take our money yet.
