I saw every episode of the History Channel's 'America: The Story of Us' and need to say I am really annoyed by it. First off, they get extremely high quality (for television) actors and take great shots of the country mixed in with some impressive tech (again, for television) to show off how things built in America grew over the years and then they skip half of the facts about America or just get a lot of the info wrong or tell it in a way that it looks more convenient for how the viewer should probably respect the country. Basically, propaganda.
Though, they did have some interesting and well written bits, it is just not enough.
Canned Grapefruit?
Well now I've heard everything.
I KNOW
When I saw it in the store, my first reaction was "WTF?" and then I had to get some because cans are convenient and it was rather inexpensive, to boot.
How does it taste in comparison? I could really go for some grapefruit but it is pretty rare here, so I might look into some of it canned in the future.
First it rains, then the sun blazes, then it rains some more, then the sun blazes some more.
I swear this country's weather has the mind of a woman going out to buy a pair of shoes.
It has been borderline
freezing here the last few days. I assume the world is ruined forever.
Saw Conan last night, fuckin awesome! Tina Fey and Trey Anastasio (of Phish) guest starred, Andy and the band were there. The giant inflatable bat from Meat Loaf's Bat out of Hell tour and one of Eddie Murphy's 80's standup outfits made an appearance. Walker Texas Ranger Lever (called the Chuck Norris Action Policeman Handle for legal reasons), Triumph (via video) and masturbating bear all showed up. 3.5 hours of entertainment = Good times. I bought a coffee mug and poster.
::JEALOUSY::
Also, congratulations Snowcat! I always liked your work. *sucks up*
