Can I post Mario Sports Mix as SEGA E3 news? I detected a hint of SEGA DNA.

I'm watching some of the trailers now.

Donkey Kong Country Returns: Really, was this necessary? The old DKC games looked good for their time but were only above average hop and bop platformers underneath it all. They weren't exactly begging for a revival.

Kid Icarus Uprising: Hooray for the return of pretty boy Pit! ^___^ Other than that, since it's a handheld game, I'll probably never get to play it.

Kirby's Epic Yarn: I really hate the word "epic" nowadays; but whatever, besides that, the game itself looks great! It's soooo kawaii ^__^

Zelda Skyward Sword: Back to cel shading, it would seem. These results don't look fantastic, but they do look better than TP's by a looooooooong, long shot.

Epic Mickey: Definitely looks better than before. Why didn't they change the name, though?

Mario Sports Mix: The Wii needed more mini-game collections.

Goldeneye: who cares

Golden Sun: who cares

Dragon Quest: who cares

Metroid: who cares

I liked Nintendo's press conference, overall. I liked seeing Miyamoto make a fool out of himself because the controllers weren't responding.

I like the looks of Kirby and Donkey Kong, mainly because I liked Wario Shake Dimension a lot. It's cool to make 2D games again, I guess. Epic Mickey looks promising too and I'm interested in Golden Sun and Metroid.

Good call on Kid Icarus. Making the sheep buy the new system for the game they've been whining about for so long. Overall, I approve this conference. It had some moments of casual bullshit but without interfering with the flow of the presentation. Nintendo finally realised only the core gamers know what E3 is.

Sega's logo said hello during the keynote btw.

Also, lol Nintendogs + Cats. Sega released a cat game for DS before. PORT IT

Taking off my angry SEGA fanboy hat:

Honestly, Nintendo had a decent show. Lots of platformers and old IPs returning. Kirby and Donkey Kong could have been a bit grander, and Mario does not need another sports game, but the rest looked to please Nintendo fans. Overall, good show. More of the same, but Wii owners should be pleased. However, if you don't own a Wii now, there was little there to say "now is the time to own a Wii". It was more like "2011 is the time to consider a Wii". 3DS looks interesting ,but I wonder how the older DS games will fare on it. Didn't he mention that the top screen is no longer touch sensitive? Won;t that impact older games?

As for me being butthurt, I'm not. Especially not for the fact that you (George) said what I said yesterday. I'm mostly annoyed at the continued conspiracy theorists out there claiming that every single Kinect demo has been smoke and mirrors. It's just crazy talk. The circus show was fake, ESPN was possibly fake but for good reason (don't give sports announcers control of video games) and the rest was legit.

Not all of them, but some where. Which is sad, since everyone that believed in it has been saying to wait for E3 and they put up fake footage. The pet game was painfully fake, the Forza one and obviously Star Wars. I do not know what to think of the Dancing one, but the rest where real. Wonky, but real.

I thought it was pretty good. The beginning was HORRIBLE though. Zelda controls weren't working and the game itself looked the same as any other Zelda game.

Epic Mickey is still a huge disappointment for me after seeing the awesome concept art. Though, I do like the look of that black and white level....

Metroid looks good. I'm not really into Metroid, but I love what I'm seeing in Other M.

But the platformer fanatic in me is jumping for joy over Donkey Kong Country Returns! It looks awesome!

Kirby's Yarn or whatever has a really cool visual style, but I'm not into Kirby games, so I don't know if I'll like the gameplay.

I REALLY DESPERATELY want to see the 3DS in action! And I loved the stupid "demonstration" video with Reggie, Iwata, and Miyamoto. The Regginator kicks ass.

I didn't care about anything else.

So yeah, pretty good.

Well, it can't be Sonic Colors, can it?

Also, Monkey Ball seems to love being a launch title. I'm surprised it didn't appear for the Kinect.

The top screen was never touch sensitive. He said they opted by not making the top screen touch sensitive on the 3DS for some reason I don't recall.
