Outside from SEGA, I like his Ivy The Kiwi and Let's Tap but Rodea the Sky Soldier is dissapointing.

Did you play the Wii version of it? I heard that is the better port of the game since it was intended for the Wii and nothing else.

Also, are you guys are upset about this?

He was wasting his time at Prope, so I'm glad he is back to working for a large company. I just hope they let him create something good. No more tap the bear to make it stand please.

May be, I only play the 3ds version of it.
Nobody here sold the Wii version. I have a Wii but I don't have a Wii U.
It's just Ivy The Kiwi is fun for both version (Wii and NDS), why couldn't Rodea be the same.

And I agree with Barry, it's nice to see he is back to working for a large company.

I think he will get back in his groove and do some great work! It's a very different thing trying to handle the day-to-day administrative tasks of running your own company. I'm sure he'll appreciate an environment where he is free to focus on his programming.

And yes, Rodea for the Wii is great. Such a shame they messed up the Wii U and 3DS versions, though I hear Prope didn't develop those versions. The Wii one feels sort of like NiGHTS meets Sonic Adventure's action stages.

So many ways to look at it...

On the one hand, if you're a software developer chances are is that once you reach a senior position, you'll be likely being working in a more administrative role, much less hands-on. That turns some off, Yuji Naka is probably one of those.

I haven't looked much into what Prope has been doing, but not much apparentely since their latest update was all the way back in April 2017.

The other way look at it, it's the completely random nature of it. Working for SquareEnix on some big RPG maybe? I mean he did work on Phantasy Star...

Can't see this working out well at all. Naka got a good team leader and not used to taking orders lower down the chain line and also the main reason he wanted to leave SEGA was that he didn't like working with large team lines anymore.

Prope was a Waste of time and also SEGA investment too. Naka should never have left SEGA truth be told and I bet he'll end up back there in 3 years time

I could see it being like they give him a decent pay and leave him alone to develop stuff, hoping for some sort of Miyamoto situation where Naka creates some cool new game that Square can sell.
