Dick Tracy reminds me of Altered Beast (foreground) crossed with a 2D shooter (background). The concept is actually very original, I can't think of any other game that plays on two planes like Dick does.

Wasn't Dick Tracy as well as Ghostbusters developed by SEGA? Those are probably two of my favorite Genesis games. Those and Quack Shot, which was also developed by SEGA (AM7).

Dick Tracy is one of the best genesis games... Its awesome.
I loved the whole idea of the side scroller and background fights.

And then later levels were you are in the police car and you have to duck and dodge around the car.

Awesome.

Oh and yes my copy always said 1-2 players and it was also the bane of my childhood.
