Sega Amusements Unveils Alpha Ops VR Strike For IAAPA 2024

The overall design differs from Sega Amusements’ previous virtual reality release VR Agent quite heavily, being based on a armored military vehicle (with hints of Sega’s older Target Bravo version of Operation Ghost, for those who may remember it), and using motion seats instead of the free-standing format:
Alpha Ops VR Strike by Sega AmusementsThis uses a 4.1 surround sound system (an unusual but cool one to have, where we usually see 2.1 or 5.1 systems) and two vertical 86″ 4K monitors to both heighten immersion and give spectators a taste of the action. The placement of those makes it stand out pretty well from other recent VR shooters too; the likes of Godzilla Kaiju Wars VR have had their monitors up at the back and in landscape format, facing outward, but behind where players using the VR headsets would be looking.
One aspect where it follows VR Agent more closely is its guns and headsets, which again are  ..."

Turned out it's more shoot em up game than racing one so I won't update it anymore in this thread

Introducing Alpha Ops VR Strike, SEGA Amusement’s brand-new attendant-free, coin-operated motion VR game that takes the arcade shooting experience to a whole new level.
Players are placed right in the action as they ride ‘shotgun’ in an armoured vehicle with their fellow ‘Alpha Ops squad’. Using different weapons to attack the enemy, players must break through the pursuit circle and eliminate the powerful boss, all while driving through high-intensity locations. Three visually stunning environments are brought to life in exquisite detail using the power of Unreal Engine 5, immersing players in the action.
The cabinet captures attention with its unique ‘armoured vehicle’ design, motion base, and captivating LED lighting. Featuring two massive 86” 4K displays, it not only creates an unparalleled experience for players but also encourages spectators to watch the action unfold as players enjoy the immersive VR experience.

'Monaco '79' for the Commodore Amiga (OCS/ECS) Fan Game's name is Changed into 'Riviera '79'

A 2D, top-down, fast-paced, vertically scrolling racer for the Commodore Amiga (OCS/ECS) inspired by Sega's classic 1979 arcade game 'Monaco GP'
I've decided to change the name of the game from 'Monaco '79' to 'Riviera '79' and change all associated imagery in the game to match. This is to avoid any unintended implied association with the current F1 Monaco GP. Apologies to those of you who already posted videos & streams, made box art & icons etc. I hope you understand.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds announced for 2025– All-Stars return?

The end of the trailer appears to play the SEGA Saturn Japanese startup sound, perhaps a not to Sonic R or that the series will jump around Sonic’s racing history as well as other SEGA titles. We have read that Hardlight will be developing the game.
We here at SEGAbits have long been Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing fans, so much so that for Transformed‘s release we were invited by SEGA to play the game before it was even revealed to the public. Team Sonic Racing was a step down, mainly because it ...

I'll be honest, I'm not really that hyped for it. Whenever it will be a sequel to Team Sonic Racing or not, I just don't really care much for the current-age Sonic racing games. Sonic Riders was still peak Sonic racing game IMHO.

Same. I would not but this day one until I know what this CrossWorlds means.
Are these Worlds between Sonic universes or SEGA universes?
I'd be more interested if it's the later.
It would mean the returns of SEGA All-Stars franchise.

I imagine it will consist of content from Team Sonic Racing, Sonic Prime and the film series. The portal that Shadow drives through looks more like a ring portal from the films than a usual warp ring. And the streaking lights reminds me of prism energy.

They're releasing it too late then.
If it was released this month, it could have been used to promote Sonic 3 movie.
