The Sonic 3 movie broke the Guinness World Record for the largest shadow projection.

Quote
The team at Paramount arranged for a giant shadow projection of Shadow himself. The shadow was projected on an exterior wall of the American Dream mall and entertainment complex in New Jersey, with a live stream shown on the first floor of Court A within the mall. The previous record was 15.7 m (51 ft 6.1 in) long x 8.09 m (26 ft 6.5 in) wide, but the new Sonic the Hedgehog 3 shadow projection more than doubled that with 285 square meters (about 3,070 square feet), breaking the record — drum roll please — beyond a shadow of a doubt. You can see video here ...

I am somewhat tired of the same-old same-old Christmas stories on televisions... Except the Miser Brothers, I'll never tire of them!

Actually I almost never watched TV during Chrsitmas.
I usually on family trip, church, or a long vacation during Christmas and new year.
I'm just making point that there are movies that people like to watch over and over again for nostalgia , even if it's Polar Express.
My long vacation started tomorrow so I'll probably see you again next year. Happy holidays!

Was it... a punishment?

It's a final test (for the semester) so he couldn't skip it.
Of course I'll watch the movie again with him later so that would mean I'll watch the movie twice.
And that's totally okay for me since the movie was so good!

Ben Schwartz: My Hope Is To Make 10-15 "Sonic" Movies

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDRaU2qYZJw
The thing is... I would find extended movie series such a "loaded gun" of a deal.

Take, for example, Indiana Jones series. It started off great with Raiders of the Lost Ark,  Temple of Doom and Last Crusade, but Crystal Skull and Dial of Destiny were shit, all because they tried to milk that cash cow dry. It's something I fear will eventually happen to the Sonic films.
Yes, I want them to continue, to make plenty of successful movies. I just don't want Sega/Paramount to decide to end it after a bad one.

Sonic 3 was awesome! I got to see it yesterday. I was worried I'd seen too many spoilers to fully enjoy it, but I loved it!

Though, I'm confused about G.U.N., I thought it was founded somewhen after the first film, how was it around fifty years ago? (And apparently sci-fi blasters were a thing in 1974.)

I kinda forgot but wasn't Knuckles TV series implying that Ivo Robotnik made weapons for G.U.N?
If yes then G.U.N was definitely not founded somewhen after the first film.

Yes, the movie was awesome.
I also love to know that Knuckles and Tails still got some lights.
Knuckles is really strong in this movie and Tails is also shown smart.

Apparently, the retcon is that the G.U.N. that Walter founded was the "second iteration" of G.U.N. and that he made it an international and public known organization.
Project Shadow (and apparently Dr. Robotnik himself) was part of the first iteration of G.U.N. who were a shadow organization.

I see, this retcon is turned out kinda acceptable.

Yeah, but still seems a bit out of the blue.

Funny thing is Disney's official Twitter / X account was busted by Community Notes for claiming that Mufasa was the #1 movie in America, when it was Sonic 3 for the second weekend in a row.
To add to the drama, Disney also hides any comments referring to Sonic 3 as X users continue to pile on.
