He doesn't seem like a "real man" to me. True men don't wish for 10 more years of war and death; that's more like what a neo-conservative psychopath would wish for.

I'll call him what B.A. Baracus calls "Howling Mad" Murdock: He's a crazy fool. :P

Fluffy no offense (ok, a little offense) but you wouldn't know a real man if it hit you in the face.

Also you are missing the point.

Sorry, but I don't equate mental illness and reckless behavior with manhood. :P

A real man wouldn't spontaneously hit me in the face like that, because a real man thinks through his actions and acts with maturity. I'm afraid that you're thinking of a 12 year old boy's fantasy of what a "real man" should be.

Jack Churchill and that dude who lifts refrigerators over his head are real men.

Here is a list of various men leisure activities in order of preference:

Clearly the real men mentioned above enjoy most, if not all, of these. I'll bet Jack would be home computing right now ere here alive today.

Historically speaking, manliness is linked to courage, strong wills and tests of strength, which is why you hear people calling Rambo, Indiana Jones or Segata Sanshiro manly characters, and not someone like any male from Kingdom Hearts or something.

This guy's wild. I mostly enjoyed the fact that after all the fighting, he designed a surf board.

Also: funny how "toilet" beats out eating.

@Soup, Yeah his life reads like some kind of made up list of awesome things...

Some of my high points,
He killed people with a bow and arrow in World War 2...
He was the only unharmed person in a mortar attack and he played the baggpipes!
...Then he took up surfing.

If he played bagpipes, I'm going to assume that he also threw those telephone poles in his spare time.
