I highly recommend you guys burn the VMU Tool disc, it opens up a whole world of file saves, vmu games and more. It basically makes the modem unnecessary:
http://bswirl.kitsunet.org/vmutool/rele ... en&menu=on

If you download the pre-packaged version, you get VMU saves from about 6 different sites and almost every VMU game (official and indie) on one disc. The disc has an easy to use menu and memory management system. I'm a total n00b when it comes to burning CDs for the Dreamcast, but it only took me 2 hours to figure it all out and burn a working disc.

You rock Bary. I'm going to mess with this now. It's too bad theres nothing like this for save states on the Sega Saturn/CD. I'd be in heaven.

Sure thing, dude!
I've dusted off many games that were once too difficult or too Japanese language heavy to play thanks to the many save files. Also, I believe they include the complete PSO quest files as well as all the crazy Sonic Adventure dlc. My favorite bit is the VMU emulator, so you can play all the VMU games on your TV screen without having to buy batteries and take up file space.

I carried a vmu battery in my pocket all last week as a reminder to pick some up when I was out, never got around to it. So in my pocket it still sits. Makes for a mediocre conversation piece when I'm out with friends.

I gave up on replacing the batteries. I've got 10 vmus, and they all do that little scream when I turn the DC on.

I love hooking every vmu I own in and hearing their screaming chorus when I boot up the DC.

Oh, also:

100 CR2032 batteries for $30 on amazon. lol

Fighting Vipers 2 for the Dreamcast! It was the only AM2 fighter that I did not own. :D

I had thought Last Bronx on Saturn was AM2, but turns out it was AM3. Still mean to pick that up someday.

^Last Bronx fucking ROCKS. I really wish they could bring that back somehow.

It wasn't quite up there with VF, but it still had a huge amount of moves and combos and had some fantastic weapon's based fighting. Red Eye was really cool too, he was one of the first that i did a 'Last boss' write up for actually.

I would love to see a return someday, or even have a character from it crop up somewhere in a future game (assuming AM2 or someone good made a Sega Fighting Mashup again).

Also the opening credits:

You know what, forget SEGA All-Stars Fighters. A FIghters Megamix 2 with VF, Fighting Vipers, Last Bronx and more grown up SEGA characters as cameos would rule. Save the kiddy characters like Sonic for environments (maybe a Sonic themed arcade?) or costume parts (a Knuckles shirt, Amy Rose hammer).

^I agree, I don't care what it's called, I would love to see something akin to Fighters Megamix again though. Draw on actual fighting characters like the Eternal Champions cast, Last Bronx cast, Streets of Rage etc to build up a great roster.

Anyway, it's got about as much chance of happening as me winning the lotto unfortunately.
