If he sang on Eurovision, the UK would won. I would have voted for him.

Nonsense, the UK will never win Eurovision... we arent close enough to any other country... Everyone knows thats how you get votes on Eurovisions.

Yes multiple times before the smaller countries copped on to the idea of voting for the country next to them.

Also,

ITT we pretend anybody still gives a shit about Eurovision.

Some decades ago it was the pinnacle of european music. The best bands went out there with the best songs.
Nowdays it's not quite like that. Most of the songs are shit and the little eastern countries vote for one others.

The songs are shit, true. But what brought me back to it were that Finnish band Lordi. After them, it seemed Eurovision had changed, every year setting up massive stages in huge indoor arenas.

Plus, it's always fun to have a laugh at the expense of some stuff. This year we had a stage invasion during Spain's performance and the UK in last place.

This indeed was funny lol
Portugal got 18th right? They should get Xutos to go there. Or GNR. Or Mariza. Or Ana Moura. Or Rui Veloso. I don't know.. Someone good and with a lot of stage presence. Remember Jose Cid? He was great.

The ESC isn't well seen these days. I doubt high profile artists from whichever country would even consider play there.

Anyway, the Homens da Luta (also called Struggle Men) tried to get in but they were rejected because their song wasn't original or something.

To the non-Portuguese here, they are a couple of humourists who make their segments in a sort of protest way. Sometimes they go a bit too far and have been mistaken for real protesters. Here's a segment they made in New York, when they went to America.

By original I mean it wasn't written specifically for the contest, as it had already been released. Maybe they can come up with something for next year. I would vote for them.

I don't get it.

What is it you're referring to in that picture, exactly?
