Hi guys,

I'm from The netherlands (Yay to 2-1 netherland-brazil) and a SEGA fan since gaining concience (lol). Around the age of 4 years I was hooked to my sega genesis(megadrive) and master system which my brother coincedently came in touch with. I fell in love with the SEGA charm which was going to play a big role in my life.

I decided registering after noticing that the community seems to be pretty large here. I'm a SEGA fan in heart and veins. Of course also a Huge sonic fan.

I've been following the articles and news for some time in the SEGABITS homepage and it convinced me that this community was full of passionate SEGA fans, I felt being at the right adress. After all those times at Sega's official sonic 4 thread, I wondered what "SEGA" fans thought of sonic 4. I'm glad to find that I was not some kind of loonatic, whiner, or whatever i've been called so many times when being kind of dissapointed. I think sonic 4 looks really bad from all that has been shown. I'm looking forward to discuss this with you all.

The reason for my nickname is because tails was the character I played with in sonic 2's, 2 player mode, and ever since i've been a tailsfan.

I'd be glad to be a part of this community

Welcome to the forums. Glad yo like our content on the front page and community. I suggest you stay away from Aki in the football discussion, not because he is dangerous, but because he smells.

Hey folks.

I have never seen or heard of Segabits before today--surprising, I know, because this community seems so large and the content is actually quite good--but as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to register.

My name's Tim.  I'm a lifelong fan of Sega, and, since the release of the Nintendo 64, I have been a fan of Nintendo as well.  I love old-school console gaming, not so fond of the new stuff.  My favorite genres are Platformers, JRPGs, and Adventure games, which has made this generation disappointing for me outside of the Nintendo DS.  My favorite game is Skies of Arcadia, with Ocarina of Time being a very close runner-up :3

Now that I've divulged this useless information, you can expect to see me around the forums frequently.  My favorite topics are actually politics and philosophy, so I will naturally be drawn to those threads, but I believe in being civil about such discussions.

See y'all around! n_n

Hey there Hanyou, from your lengthy introduction, I can tell you'll be a good member already but...

Which political idology do you think you're closest to, a lefty or a righty?

I consider myself a "conservative libertarian," with an emphasis on the libertarian part.  That means I'm anti-war (though I have no problem with truly defensive war), anti-draft, pro-capitalism, pro-individual rights, and I'm against unreasonable government restrictions on things like drugs, pornography, guns, etc. regardless of how I personally feel about any of them.  I'm also a supporter of the US Constitution, which means I'm not particularly fond of any US president since Calvin Coolidge (obviously, most of this would be relevant only to US politics...sorry if my focus on them seems presumptuous).

Suffice to say, more right than left, but I'm not a fan of the modern Republican party by a long shot.  Politics and philosophy are pretty much inseparable for me, which means I had to do a bit of logical analysis before I came to that conclusion, and I have not always felt this way. XP  If you're familiar with Nozick's philosophy at all, that pretty much sums up my views.

Also, thanks for the welcome, and I hope my post (and response) were not overly long or unwelcome. Don't worry, I won't be debating in this thread...I've modded a couple of forums so I know it can be frustrating when people get off-topic.  But I figured the question deserved an answer. n_n
