Wonder what the price and size is. Better be (1) affordable and (2) decently sized. Nothing bigger than a foot tall.

Makes sense.
This statue and Ryo in Dead or Alive 5 Plus are some of the buildup of the public's awareness of the Shenmue saga.
There is heavy speculation that 2013 is the year we see the Shenmue rereleases in HD (supposedly already finished by now). Business Insider goes further ahead to predict the series will see an iOS release as well.

From what I've seen Ryo isn't in the game, it's only Akira and Sarah. I think they wanted to include him but Sega was all 'Nah, son'.

From what I've read, the director only said Ryo was a dream addition, not that SEGA actually allowed it. They've yet to announce anything on Shenmue in DOA5+.
