Downloading now. May write a preview later.

UPDATE: Been playing for 45 minutes and still going! Man! Is this long. Now this is a Yakuza demo! Only, you use guns instead of your fists. XD There's plenty to check out at the beginning, but don't pick the top option with your secretary unless you want to go straight into the zombie apocalypse.

Protip. Go to options (Hammer and pliers), Top option change to control style B for a more American feel of gunplay. Also, change the two options below that for better camera control.

So how's the game? give us some impressions on the controls. Do they work? Was the demo fun?

They're the same company that stole Ulala's design from a popstar and then convienced the courts they never heard of said popstar, I think it's fair to say they have a knack for it.

Apart from the  crying girl zombie I don't see the problem... There are lots of different types of zombies in Yakuza of the end.

Should I go find pictures of House of the Dead 2/3 Zombies... I already know they had fat zombie types before L4D even existed...

Also whats the difference between a 'rip off' and a hommage?... As far as I am aware there isn't much in it...

I'm sure the similarities are intentional, not because of some kind of lack of creativity, but as a nod to the other popular zombie titles.

That was drawing inspiration from real life.  100% legit.

It's one thing to have a fat zombie in a video game.  It's another thing to have 4 distinct zombie types in your game that directly correspond in likeness and function to 4 zombie types of an insanely popular horror survival game.  The zombie types in L4D are what make the games so iconic in the first place.  I'd be more inclined to believe it was an "homage" if the game were much sillier in tone but as it stands the whole thing screams plagiarism.  I have no idea what's going through their heads on this one.  Bad PR is the last thing a struggling company needs.

my comment in front page:

like what i said before "RGG of the END is actually a Left4Dead done right" it was clear that the team wanted to do something inspired by L4D concept and design.
the game is really super fun and it feels like an arcade game, i enjoyed it a lot specially after mastering the control. in the other hand it seems like they are not going with a heavy cinematic and story-line this time around.
the only problem i had is sometimes the camera confused you at some point but not that much.

Considering when asked, SEGA employees said they had no idea who she was and it was their own ideas in a court of law, I'm afraid it's a not 100% legit.

The reports of the company struggling are greatly exaggerated, I would not exactly call a top 6 third party publisher and the top Japanese third party publisher, as "struggling"

Considering we've already seen Lickers in this game, I wouldn't be surprised if we see even more familiar zombie types popping up in the game. It's likely this is intentional to create a mish-mash of zombies from a bunch of games/movies etc. Kinda like how Revenge of Shinobi had you fighting Terminators, Spider-Man and Godzilla.

I am such a big Shinobi fan and I completely forgot about that last bit. You also had Rambo, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Batman and the Hulk.

But yes, it could be an intentional mash up of zombies, I hope we see cowboy zombies and maybe one sporting a Thriller look too...

One aspect of "Of the End" I'm really interested in is, apparently the underground sections of the city are randomly generated.
