I have a 2TB HDD now and I put on like 180gbs worth of stuff so far, when I wanted to save demos from the 360, it asked to reformat it to make it an xbox drive.

EH, 20gbs is enough for me.

So its not like GTA where you can check your scores for stuff like 'kills' 'headshots' 'kills on train' ... lame.

All trophies should have a meter on them to track progress. I hate the 'kill 1,000,000 people' and you don't know how far you are. That is what I like about Sega All Stars Racing... what I hated is that it has a 'protected save' and now I can't load it :( .

Yeah, aside from the blast shards, it doesn't really let you see all the stats or anything.

The Rock Band games have been pretty good about showing you how close you are to attaining the trophies.

I've just finished off the second world in Super Meat Boy on PC. Steam had it on sale for like 3 bucks. Very tough game :-/

Yeah I got it too, on my 'big monitor' it runs laggy. I thought it was the game, so I lowered the res and it was my lame graphics on board card. Its really bad for 2-D games oddly....

I'll have to buy a new card.

That's pretty unfortunate. It'd probably be damn near unplayable with any lag, seeing as how precise a lot of the sections are (the bosses are especially tough).

Steam says there is an update for drivers. Will try it. I can play it smoothly, if i bump down the res.

The first boss reminded me of Sonic & Knuckles 3's boss, first one too... also badass music.

I've been playing Vanquish for the last week or so. I've also been getting back into handheld gaming. Been playing Mr. Driller, Pokemon Platinum, Ivy the Kiwi, and Sonic Rush on my DS. In short burts, mind you.

Just finished NFS Hot Pursuit last night. I ended up enjoying this much more than I thought I would.

Is there a decent amount of content? Like, comparable to Burnout: Paradise?

I haven't played Burnout Paradise, but the game was pretty long and had a bunch of events in it. There's not a whole lot of unlockable content though, most of the cars are easy to unlock and the arcadey nature of the game means that they don't really handle that differently anyway.

Fair enough. I'm definitely interested in picking it up, but probably once the price drops.

The prices dropped pretty quick in Aus. I got mine at a super duper staff sale for $39 shortly after release (it was about $78 to $88 on release. I think even higher at full RRP), but even now you can get it for as little as $69 or so.

It's around $69.99 here right now, which is about $10 over the usual MSRP for PS3/360 new releases. Being an EA game though, it's pretty much guaranteed to drop down to $19.99 in a few months.
Same with most games from SEGA, Capcom, and Ubisoft. I usually have a hard time paying full price when I know they'll be that cheap in less than a year.

I finally got Deadly Premonition and started to play it, surreal and funny just as i expected, can't wait to go on :D
It was from Illbleed on the DC that i didn't have so much fun with an absurd game like this. More low budget games k thnks.

I just beat Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.
One of the things I enjoyed the most about Ninja Theory's previous game (Heavenly Sword) was the insane amount of polish. I can't really think of another game outside of Killzone 2 that had more impressive facial animations. Enslaved doesn't really have the same flawless presentation though.  Textures pop in, sound effects cut out randomly, and the camera can get a bit wonky at times (near the end it got stuck on a very far away shot making it pretty much impossible to see where to go next).
Despite all that, I still really enjoyed the game. It had enough character and personality to keep me playing. Interesting ending too.

^It was a very fun game. I thought the voice acting in particular was very strong, but some of the dialogue was a bit naff (What the blue bloody hell was Pigsy getting at with the "You seem to have an Ice Cream on your head" line?)
