It's hard to describe Deadly Premonition.

It's the most ambicious game ever, because it does everything games like Alone in the Dark and Alan Wake attempted to do, yet a the same time it can't take itself seriously.
I'm watching the endurance run of that game on Giant Bomb. It looks uh, different to say the least. Just who the hell is Zach anyway?

I actually really like Alone in the Dark. I have the PS3 version, Inferno, and t is a really unique game. Still haven't played anything like it.

Shining Hearts (PSP) and Scott Pilgrim (PS3) and Virtua Fighter 5 FS (arcades).

Curiosity: VF Team are running an enquette at VF-NET and they slightly made a reference about VF on the domestic consoles!!! I really do want it!

it's simply great, i'm playing it this days i'm at 20+ hours of gameplay...and still i don't understand where the storyline will go lol. I just love to go around and listen York talking with Zach about 80's movies and punk music.

I am under the impression that Zach is York's imaginary friend/alter ego.

Different is an understatement. The game is flat out bizarre.

Latest rumour I've heard is that Final Showdown is in development, was due to release late last year/Quarter 1 2011, but it's been held up. Possible release in summer or so.

Fingers crossed!

Also, been playing Civ 5.

Clear my date-book, this shit is gonna take a while.  :afroman:

Holy S***, I got suddenly hooked on Shining Force for PC. I downloaded it yesterday on Gamersgate.co.uk. And I started playing during my lunch break.

Screw Deadly Premonition... for now.

I tried to get back into Phantasy Star IV, but it is hard to when I have to keep grinding, which is not fun. Meanwhile I started a second playthrough of Mass Effect 2 and WFIIKDIOSOSWJOS it is really freaking fun, the game just seriously keeps getting better and better.

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite game this console generation.

I am a pretty huge fan of most of the top down Zelda games, do you think I would like this as much as any one of them? I saw it for like $15 new and heard a lot of good things, so it seems like a good purchase.

I'd say definitely pick it up. It's closest to the first Zelda game. I'm even playing as a downloaded Link. The temples are laid out very similarly with all the rooms being the same size, having the odd wall with cracks in it to bomb, etc...
It's got a few quirks, and the in between temple sections aren't overly interesting, but it's still fun. It's got that more free-wandering feel of the first game than Link to the Past.

Virtual On Force!  It's super fun.  The options are a little tough because there's a lot of 漢字 in it.  It gets a little complicated when you are going through the tutorials or trying to configure your AI buddy.  Still its lots of fun.  I've always loved Virtual On and never minded that Im not very good at it.

I'm also about 14 hours into Grandia PS1 (on PSP).  I'm enjoying it a lot.

The new 'versus' levels are very very fun.

I'm partway through the Wind Temple in 3D Dot Game Heroes, after a good chunk of exploring the overworld.
I've got two keys and can't seem to find any doors to use them on......
Time for bed.

Oh lawd, Civ 5 is just as addictive as the Total War games. It's been a while since i had a good strategy game to play on PC, this is filling that gap nicely.

I gotta get back to Dead Rising Case West as well!
