That's basically what the Uncharted series is all about. Story, presentation, characters, and a bunch of gameplay styles coming together to make something great. Glad you're enjoying it :D.

I certainly am! I'm up to the 'Locomotion' level, well actually, just finished 'Tunnel Vision' but it's all the train bit. Bloody awesome game. Seriously, this must be one of the best games I've played this gen I think (although I've played a bunch of games I've said that about, I'm loving it).

Apart from that not really playing anything else apart from MVC3 which I've been playing pretty solidly since release.

I did just download 'Beneath a Steel Sky' which is free on GOG though.

Pretty productive day today.
I beat Ghost Trick on the DS, and de Blob on the Wii.

Ghost Trick got a bit odd near the end, but was still really good.
de Blob was consistently fun throughout. Jet Set Radio meets Flower. I'm looking forward to checking out the sequel, especially knowing that jumping is pulled off by pressing a button now.

I've been buying a lot of Saturn fighting games.  Just got Last Bronx.  That game is pretty fun.  It's hard, but fun.  I like all the unlockable stuff too.

Hey! I just bought this and played it today!

I love the dude with the hammer. This game is pure comedy gold, I love it.

I think the fighting is pretty basic, but that's also what's nice about it.

I've also been playing Skate.

And Space Harrier.

So far I like the guy with the staff.  It is pretty basic, but also realistic with how much damage you take when you get hit.

I don't know Skate, but Space Harrier rules!

Glad you guys are enjoying it. I used to use Kurosawa with the wooden sword and Joe with the Nunchucks. The damage in the game is very high, but I kinda like it. Makes it very tense considering how quick you can get KO'd.

Soup: What is Ghost Trick like? I could use a new portable game and that one looked really interesting. I don't want to start any new console games because I gotta finish Uncharted 2 and then want to go into Yakuza 4 without anytihng else on the menu.

As for what I've actually been playing... not a lot :(
Didn't get a chance to touch any games yesterday or tonight so far. Might play some Uncharted 2 later tonight though.

The game's split up nicely into individual chapters/puzzles that mostly revolve around possessing and manipulating objects to prevent somebody's death. You can rewind the person's death as many times as it takes to figure out the right sequence of what you need to do.  The graphics are really well done for a DS game, and while the story can get pretty out there, it's presented well, and has a couple really endearing characters.
It's not overly long either. Probably around the 9 hour mark.
I'd definitely recommend checking it out though.

I was planning on playing through Vagrant Story, but it looks like my PSP will no longer power on. On the upside, 999 showed up in the mail today, so it's back to the DS for my gaming on the go.

^Thanks for the info! I think I'll definitely check it out, it looks like something interesting and different.

In the meantime though, I wanna get back to Uncharted 2!

Stacking, I got Playstation plus. Basically was going to get Sonic the Hedgehog and other Genesis titles on PSN... and Stacking which is 15 bucks. So I just got PSN+ for 3 months. I might get a year after, I quite enjoy it.

^^^What is wrong with it? From what I played of the demo, it seemed pretty samey to me. It looked and felt high quality enough, but I could not get into it, just like the rest of the series.

I guess I will slow down buying so many games now. I have never really been able to have so many new games at once outside of burning Dreamcast games, so it is pretty overwhelming. I have always wanted to be like this, but now that it is here I am not sure what I feel, especially because so much is happening in my life right now.

Games I need to beat:

Yakuza 4 (Comes out next week...)
Fallout 3
3D Dot Game Heroes
Crash Team Racing
Vanquish (Hard playthrough and then sell it, will be the first game since Sonic 06 that I sold)
DeathSmiles (1CC run)
Arc the Lad
Dead Nation
Bloody Roar 2 (Story mode)

And my friend gave me Valkyria Chronicles and said he would pay me $20 to beat it, because he knows I hate it. I only ever played the Japanese release before, so eh.

I am also making a "SEGA Venture" on my site, like a diary of Yakuza 3, so I still have to play that a lot.

The biggest difference is the blocking/parrying mechanic just feels weird, you can't choose high or low block anymore and it seems impossible to parry punches. The new punch controls seem really loose compared to 3 and 4 as well.

Basically the whole thing just feels like you have less control of the boxers and i just didn't enjoy it much at all.

I like pokemon too. There's nothing wrong about that :P Their good games.

However Black and white took things to a whole nother level and in my eyes they're just masterpieces. They've really went all out with these. Just think about the fact that 650 pokemon fully animate from the front AND back.

Gotta givem credit for that and it just shows effort pays off. The game is selling better than the previous two. Kids around my age (20) are actually bringing their ds'es to school. I haven't seen that since pokemon silver on the gbc, and that was in 6th grade.
