Yakuza 4 has not arrived yet. D:
No wonder I was so confused why everyone liked Valkyria, I had no idea you could fix the tank or save during a fight.
I like it a lot more, but I think it is still overly frustrating at times, and the cutscenes are just pathetic. I am really mad that THIS is the one SEGA IP that got so much praise, when they have released so many other great games that seemingly no one cares about, so I am overreacting a bit, but I still do not really like much out of some of the gameplay elements.
I also really hate how there is no exploring or anything outside of the combat, but with that said, I am actually kind of addicted to it, but it really brings out the worst in me. I never yelled this much at a game since Sonic Unleashed, and we all know how frustrating that was!
One of my relatives has brought his 360 to my home so I've been playing that for the past few weeks. I decided despite my dislike for cover-based shooting I would give the Mass Effect games a try, mostly just so I could experience the story, which I am interested in. I finished Mass Effect already and I'm currently playing Mass Effect 2. I liked the gameplay of the first Mass Effect more. You had more freedom in how you approached combat, while in the second game you pretty much have to take cover if you want any hope of not being killed. Plus, I liked the inventory system of stuff more in the first one and it just seemed more RPG-ish to me than the second one has. I'll post more of what I think of the second game after I finish it, but at the moment the story is the strongest part of Mass Effect 2.
Also, my female redhead Shepard is sooo much better than that default Shepard male they give you. Ugh.
At first, I really could not have agreed with you more, but as I got further and further into Mass Effect 2 I really just started to love it so much. Some of the action is just mindblowing, and I do not think I ever got that attached to game characters before.
