I beat God of War: Ghost of Sparta.
This game just kept on impressing me. It's not all that long, or tough, compared to the other titles, but it's got the same quality presentation.
I'd definitely recommend it to any fans of the series.

...shudder...

So after watching a bit of a Sonic '06 playthrough, I decided to play a few stages earlier to remind myself why I hated the game so much. After 2 stages I had to question why I do these stupid things to myself. :(

Look, the damn thing is now on my gamercard! Stupid stupid Barry!

I think I can officially say I'm the only person on this site that truly enjoys that game. =P

Anywho, downloading  Dragon's Lair at the moment. Can't wait, I've always wanted to play this classic and now I will finally be able to.

Played some of Dragon's Lair earlier and so far I'm really enjoying it. It requires a lot of memorization in order to clear rooms successfully but it is good fun. =) Dirk's constant yelps and screams of panic are hilarious.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT.

First of all, I downloaded the Socom 4 beta. It wasn't that big, it was like 400-500mb. Then right when it booted it had a 37mb update. OK, I can live with this.

Then it boots and says 'contacting server' in game. OH OK. Downloading update? Another one? Must be map changes? 1.5gb it comes to. WTF.. and you can't background install it either. Why not just make it 2gb> on the PSN store so I can actually background download it?

I got caught by this one too last night. I ended up with a useless PS3 for most of the night while this thing downloaded. Time that could have been spent playing Yakuza 4 :(.

Played the first 15 minutes of Pier Solar. Great game! First thing that stands out are the CD quality sounds and music. Seriously, amazing stuff. It makes me wish that more big name games used this feature back in the day. Imagine if SEGA released a Genesis classics line in which some of the best games rereleased, at a lower price, with an attached CD. I'd assume there would just have to be some changes made to the cart, so that it could "talk" with the SEGA CD. Probably wouldn't have saved the SEGA CD, but it would have given extra incentive to buy the thing.

Graphics are great, lots of cool little effects like how the menu flies in. Dialogue is well written, has a very english-vibe to it. So thankfully no stilted "Father is sick. We must save him!" stuff. Didn't make it to a save point, so I shut it off and will play more this weekend.

If you can put the music on a CD, why wouldn't they put the whole game on SEGA CD?  I guess they would have less of an audience then.

I finished the Reverie add-on for Castlevania:Lords of Shadow. It has more of a focus on platforming and puzzles over the combat, but it's a great all-round experience and well worth the $10. It also explains some of the story for the epilogue in the main game. I won't say what because that would be a HUGE spoiler for anyone who hasn't played Lords of Shadow yet. ;)
So yeah, I loved Reverie and I'm really looking forward to the continuation in "Resurrection."

Yeah I bought Castle Crashers along with Dead Nations... played a bit of the later, but Yakuza 4 is taking all my time (18 hours in, right in the end of the Akiyama part 1). 3 more to go ;3 .
