I'm finally on Chapter 16 of Resonance of Fate.
Just doing the early tasks first and then going all the way to the final boss.
Pretty intense ride for this RPG. I had completely tossed it aside at one point, because I was just so frustrated over how difficult it is.
But the rush I get when taking down a huge monster is so... so awesome!
Honestly, the characters are cool and all, but the story is somewhat lacking, not spoiling anything, but there doesn't appear to be any sense of urgency not till you get about 14 chapters in, up until that point the whole thing is very much episodic, day-to-day dillemas with self contained plots with some recurring things that get settled along the way.
But like I said, the strengh of the game's plot lies in it's three major protagonists, with fully fleshed out backstories, the antagonists feel so much like an afterthought.
Anyway, it's also a shame that after Chapter 8, you have pretty much explored the vast majority of the game world (and all the major cities with are just recycled assests), so later on is just a matter of going from point A to point B.
But nevertheless, RoF is a great experiment in JRPGs...
I don't have a spot yet for this one, but I'll let you know.
