More Resonance of Fate goodness. Very much enjoying it.

I think the idea of Nintendo not lowering prices is that they don't want people to wait for a markdown or expect one and not buy the game when it's new. It kinda makes sense, and when you consider how well a lot of their older titles still sell at full price, it's probably working out okay for them.

What bugs me the most is when their games fail to sell, they just stop making them altogether. They rarely lower their prices.

I also hate how they tend to actually improve their prices. Mario Kart DS launched in 2004 (not sure of the date?) at 30 USD. It is now 45 USD. It pisses me off so much because it actually works.

And because their portable games use cartridges, it actually costs more to produce and keep them up on store shelves. Modern Warfare 2 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 barely goes on sale, but Modern Warfare 2 on DS is usually more expensive now. FFS.

I tried the Kinect at my brother's house on Saturday.  The concept is amazing. I hope developers figure out how to make some good games on it.

If the rumors are true, mid June is gonna have two (potentially) great titles: Child of Eden and Rise of Nightmares.

lol, just realized both have SEGA connections and both are titled "___ of ___"

Doesn't Children of Eden also allow controller support and come out for PS3?

Yikes, though I can't say I didn't see this coming... After some long weeks just building up, I finished two chapters in less than two days.

There was the wedding chapter, which was pretty easy and the next chapter with the Christmas theme was cute and oddly bizzare.

Then I realize that the game will be over in two chapters. This is going to hurt and I was right. Ouch.

Much tougher oponents than what I'm used too. Even with maxed out characters like the ones I have.

I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood at the moment and I'm loving it. I would say I'm liking it even more than Assassin's Creed II.

Also playing Dragon Quest IX on my new DS and I'm loving it. :D

I'm finally getting back to playing 999 on the DS.  I'd really like to finish it up so I can get around to Radiant Historia.

Wario Land II on the Caanoo. Dumb me, I started playing the standard Game Boy rom (forgot I also downloaded the Game Boy Color version) and now I'm too far along to change games. Ah well, it's still fun.

Also almost done with Phoenix Wright on the iPhone.

And Sonic Colors, just need to complete Asteroid Coaster and Terminal Velocity. I'm about 5 hours in right now. Fun stuff!

I'm finally on Chapter 16 of Resonance of Fate.

Just doing the early tasks first and then going all the way to the final boss.

Pretty intense ride for this RPG. I had completely tossed it aside at one point, because I was just so frustrated over how difficult it is.

But the rush I get when taking down a huge monster is so... so awesome!

Honestly, the characters are cool and all, but the story is somewhat lacking, not spoiling anything, but there doesn't appear to be any sense of urgency not till you get about 14 chapters in, up until that point the whole thing is very much episodic, day-to-day dillemas with self contained plots with some recurring things that get settled along the way.

But like I said, the strengh of the game's plot lies in it's three major protagonists, with fully fleshed out backstories, the antagonists feel so much like an afterthought.

Anyway, it's also a shame that after Chapter 8, you have pretty much explored the vast majority of the game world (and all the major cities with are just recycled assests), so later on is just a matter of going from point A to point B.

But nevertheless, RoF is a great experiment in JRPGs...

I don't have a spot yet for this one, but I'll let you know.

After starting it almost 5 years ago, I'm finally getting around to finishing Pokémon Pearl Version. It's been a lot easier to get into now that I've got battle animations turned off, and the text speed set to max :).
