I did it... I finally did it!I beat Lost Odyssey!

It's been so long since I have invested so much time in an RPG of this magnitude and I had the game for so long, I had an on-again/off-again relantionship with it.

At times I was so frustrated by the game, I wouldn't touch it for weeks. The longest I had was 1 full month. To which I had no desire to play it. And I've had the game since last October.
The game is hard up until you get to Disc 4, because when you are free to explore the entire game world and you start to level up in the optional dungeons, the game stops kicking you down and it starts paying off for you.

Trully a magnificent game and the definitive Xbox 360 japanese RPG thus far.

Now onto Magna Carta 2...

Welcome to the club bro! I beat it two years ago around the same time. I had basically the same experience you did where I'd just put the game down and not play it for weeks-months. That all changed once I hit disc 2. Anyway, I'd love to go back to that game and get that treasure trove achievement. It's the only achivement keeping me away from a 1000/1000 not including online dlc achievments. Every thing is maxed out on my characters too. So it's not like I'd get killed looking for stuff, but the world and dungeons are so big, it's just too big a task for me to justify for one achievement.

I have also been playing through Super Monkey Ball Deluxe on the original Xbox, another great Nagoshi game! In fact, I think this is literally one of the best games SEGA has ever made within their 50+ year history. I am not joking at all, extremely outstanding game that I would recommend to everyone.

Yeah, Super Monkey Ball DX is one of my favorite BC XBOX games to play on the 360. The fact that the game plays in widescreen makes me a happy monkey.

I finally beat The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass last night.  I bought the game when it came out, and got to pretty much the end of the game, but replaying that last dungeon multiple times under a time limit pissed me off quite a bit, so I just stopped playing it.
Sat down last night, and for some reason beat it pretty easily.
Back to playing Ace Attorney Investigations.

I told you to keep it up! Glad you loved it.  8-)

I beat Yakuza last night. Great game, but a I had a lot of little issues with it... Well, actually some were pretty big. Fighting was really clunky sometimes and the camera inside of buildings when fighting was WTF BAD, but overall I had a blast, and the story is literally one of the best I ever saw in a game before.

Also, the Premium Box unlockable is really such a fantastic, fantastic addition. I am going to be playing this game for quite some time still.

What does the Premium Box actually unlock? I moved right onto Yakuza 2 after finishing the first.

As for the Story... I dunno, I really liked the stories in Yakuza 1 and 2 but wouldn't go so far as to say they are some of my favourites in all of gaming. They were very good, but I think I like Skies of Arcadia, Shining Force III, Grim Fandango and others a little more.

You can play every single story specific fight over again and get rankings for each one. There is an Adventure mode where you can do all of the missions in the game not related to the story, so it is like playing through the game again, just without the story.

Up to the last moments of Code Veronica! Really cool game, and it's been ages since I played it last. I'm up to the part at the end where we find the Mansion/Research lab has been rebuilt, it's pretty chilling. I really would love to see remakes of more of the old games, like RE1 was re-made for Gamecube.

Finished Brutal Legend the other day on Brutal and cleaned up the remaining achievements, now I've got the 1090/1090!

Finally, I've been playing SHining Force 1 on my GP2X, really cool game, but I don't think it's as good as SFIII by a long shot (understandable though, considering the gap between them).

Will probably be playing some more Bayonetta soon as well. I bought the platinum ticket, but it's insanely hard.

I beat Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World, each for the first time in the past couple days.
I still think Super Mario Bros. 3 is my favourite in the series, but SMW had a more interesting final boss fight.

I also finished off the first God of War.

Single player: darksiders mixed with infamous for good measure.

I also recently got my 60th jiggy for banjo nuts and bolts.

Multi player: bad company 2 with my brother or mw2 with my old housemates.

Started playing Bioshock 2 yesterday, at first I had some trouble telling if it was a Sequel or a Prequel. Apparantly it's a sequel.
It's a good game, but lacks the impact of the first one naturally. I'm playing it on hard, and it's genuinely quite hard.

I also had the idea that I would like to play all the KOF games from '94 through to present day, but man I had no idea how hard the old games would be. '94 especially just has some BS psychic AI that stuffs everything you do.

Finished Battlefield Bad Company. Better than COD4 by a long, long shot.
