Yakuza 3.  I expected them to step it up a little since #2.  Why aren't I punching a tiger in the face every other fight?

Seriously, it's pretty engrossing, and like the others, has a convoluted story.

The only game I have played extensively lately is Breakdown on the original Xbox. A game so ambitious that I think it honestly rivals Shenmue in some categories, I am not even joking, check out the trailer to get an example.

[youtube:17757f1d]0NNgT90eTcU[/youtube:17757f1d]

Too bad the game has no polish and has extremely poor design choices, making it extremely hard to enjoy! Like seriously, when you have a gun you have to lock onto everything or else you cannot hit anything. Now imagine you need to lock onto multiple small enemies that are really fast and are chasing you everywhere. Sound like fun?

A cool idea is that everything you do has to be done with a button press, like say you want ammo from a gun, press X near the gun then press X again to pick up the gun and look at it, press X to remove the ammo from the gun and look at the ammo and then press X again to store the ammo. I can understand why they made it like this, it is also very unique, but when you are in a fucking firefight and need ammo... Also, if you press B any time you are holding anything, you get rid of it, and it disappears, so if you picked up something by mistake, you are out of luck later on if you might need it another time.

These make the game sound truly horrendous, but if not for anything else, it is worth trying to try and appreciate some of the design concepts. It is very immersive and should not go for much money at all.

---

I played the demo of Snoopy Flying Ace, and HOLY SHIT what a brilliant game! Seriously, top shelf AAA game everyone here needs to at least try out. The gameplay is fantastic, the graphics are better than Sonic Unleashed (which has similar art), it has loads of unlockables and missions to go through. It could be the best game on the service and is only 800 points to boot! At least download the demo, and do so now!

More Modnation Racers, It isn't physically possible for more than a handful of people to get the platinum trophy, unless they change one trophy to make it more attainable.

Either way I am having fun and have made a fair few mods.

Those are brilliant Monkerooney!

And Sanus, I remember reading about Breakdown when that cmae out, it sounds really interesting. Was that the game where you vomit in first person?

As for what I've been playing, apart from some random Red Dead Redeeming for achievements or online rank, I've been playing God Hand. It's bizarre as all hell and seems like the most unpolished raw game I've played in ages, but it's a lot of fun. I think the trailer that described it as hard but fair is pretty accurate, I'm up to the second or third 'level' now. I've beaten the one called 'The Three Evil Stooges' which was fun.

The story about the MNR avatars has gotten 100+ degrees on N4G:

Needs some Bayonetta, Ulala sexy female action.

Just beat Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth.  As long as Capcom keeps making these games, I'll keep buying them.  I didn't like it as much as Trials & Tribulations, but the logic and investigation bits were fun nice changes.  I still miss psyche-locks though.

With that one done, I started up God of War III. I'm not too far in it yet, but it's pretty crazy so far.

It's at 220 now but I don't know what that means!

Anyway;

Been playing Alpha Protocol.

Well, its not that great so far. I mean, its not horrible. I like some of the ideas, but it feels rushed. Sad for a game delayed 2 + years.

Played Sonic Battle on the GBA. Fun game! I like that it has the old voice actors and none of the nonsense that came after SA2. Gamma is awesome.

Also played more RDR and will be playing that for quite a while. :)
