Hey Monkerooney, you should make a Jack Cayman from Madworld in Black and White! Or not if you don't want to.

SOUP: I only played the demo of TJ&E3, what do you think of it?

It's not the best game I've ever played, but it's pretty fun.  The gameplay's pretty basic: attack people until they are converted, navigate through suspended maze-like levels collecting things until the level is cleared, using presents that give you different abilities/handicaps, then the odd boss encounter.
It's a pretty solid translation of the original game to a more modern console though. They did a great job as far as that goes.  There's also enough personality and character to make up for the straightforwardness of the rest of it.

It works really well as a co-op game though.  If both players are close together, you share the same screen.  If you get far enough away, the screen splits in two, in a very seamless transition. You can even instantly teleport right to where the other player is by bringing up the map and hitting the "A" button.  This parts really helpful when it comes to covering ground, as the levels can get pretty big and complicated in their layouts.

Played Mario Galaxy 2 up to world 4. No more for me. This game is boring me to death. So much of the same, but sour. It has too many bad levels (which is due to them being built around the shit gimmicks like Mario Bee and Mario Rock), the bottomless pits are everywhere (too many cheap deaths for a slow game like Mario), it's as if they took all the bad ideas left from the first game and shoved them in a DVD. Galaxy 1 is by far the better game, these are just left overs put together so that Nintendo could say they are listening to the core audience. And, lol, reviewers.

It makes the SEGA fan in me smile to read negative impressions of a Mario game.

a bit off topic but didn't want to start a new one for a question. Anyone knows if the Ninety Nine Nights 2 demo is already out? I heard it was been released a week ago and searched on XBL but i've found nothing. Maybe is out just in the japanese XBL?

edit: checked the Italian marketplace and saw nothing, but it is on the US marketplace. maybe make a US account and give it a try? :) I do that for the japanese demos. also, the japanese have some hilarious video features.

I've decided that today will be the last day on MvC2 for me until I get a new gamepad. I've submitted my other one to months of intensive play and it's starting to wear out, so I should stop using it on MvC2 before it becomes completely useless.

The demo for N3 II is only available in a few countries. I got it with my American account, it's available for silver members there.

Build an arcade stick, it's fun!

If it's up on the Japanese marketplace for Gold only, that probably means it'll be out soon for silver. I think demos are generally Gold only for two weeks or so.

As for what I've been playing, still on God Hand. Very fun game, in the last few days I beat up a Gorilla Luchadore and a team of 5 Power-Ranger-esque "Douchebags",

I've considered that, but I'm already paying too many bills currently for me to have the money for such a huge investment right now.

However, it would be cool to learn how to use an arcade stick so that I could replace parts rather than replace whole controllers.

Holy shit God Hand is fucking genius. What a brilliantly fun game.
It has a near perfect balance of difficulty and never feels cheap. You always want one more go. Completely shattered my expectations.

If you have the tools and some know-how, and don't care about having the top quality parts, it's surprisingly cheap. I built mine for about $80 each, which is about the price of a Wireless 360 controller in Australia. The parts were about $25~$30 per stick, the wood was about $10, Perspex for $10 and I bought a wired controller from Hong-Kong for about $20~$30.
The sticking point would be if you have the tools/space to do it.
Luckily my dad is a mechanic and has every tool I would ever need already, and could show me how to do anything I didn't know with the first one, or give me a hand for two man jobs like circular sawing etc.

I heard it really picks up once you get out of Saudi Arabia.

I've been playing God of War III and I'm going through the part that was covered in the demo.

Pretty much, Saudi Arabia bored the hell out of me. It is only 5 missions I think, but it was like ... boring for some reason. Now I just finished Rome and did some epic shit.
