Holy shit God Hand is fucking genius. What a brilliantly fun game.
It has a near perfect balance of difficulty and never feels cheap. You always want one more go. Completely shattered my expectations.
I've considered that, but I'm already paying too many bills currently for me to have the money for such a huge investment right now.
However, it would be cool to learn how to use an arcade stick so that I could replace parts rather than replace whole controllers.
If you have the tools and some know-how, and don't care about having the top quality parts, it's surprisingly cheap. I built mine for about $80 each, which is about the price of a Wireless 360 controller in Australia. The parts were about $25~$30 per stick, the wood was about $10, Perspex for $10 and I bought a wired controller from Hong-Kong for about $20~$30.
The sticking point would be if you have the tools/space to do it.
Luckily my dad is a mechanic and has every tool I would ever need already, and could show me how to do anything I didn't know with the first one, or give me a hand for two man jobs like circular sawing etc.
