I played it on the hardest setting so it took me a bit longer, but on Normal you could knock it over in a weekend I would say.

Yeah, I just beat it on Normal. The last chapter was super short.
It wasn't the most polished game ever, but it sure was fun.

Great! It's settled then! I played the demo when it was first made available and I had a lot of fun with it. I saw it wasn't going to be the game of the century but I figured I'd be entertained long enough. This stupid is playing Wet this weekend. :D

I enjoyed the demo of Wet and can get it for about £10, should I?

I am playing Joe Danger at the moment, it's really fun although criminally hard.

I'm still playing Uncharted 2 since last year.

I'm still playing Virtua Fighter 5 since 2006.

I can't stop it. Best games of the decade!

Yeah, the demo gives you a good idea of what to expect. It's not a masterpiece but it's lots of fun, and has some really cool music and visuals. It's the video game equivalent of watching a good action flick I guess.

Seconded. Enjoy the demo? Find a copy for a cheap price? Go for it.

I finally got around to beating Metal Gear Solid: Portabl Ops. Pretty easy once I figured out you could hold the L button to lock onto bosses as you strafe around them, as opposed to stopping to shoot in first person mode all the time.  Overall very solid game, even if it took a while to get into (managing soldiers/items/spies/etc...).
All set to play through Peace Walker now.

Playing Alpha Protocol:

Boss fight with a Russian Mobster, in his private Disco while 'Turn up the Radio' blares. He uses gold plated uzis, complains about 'how much this suit costs' when he gets shot, then he snorts a shit-ton of cocaine and goes batshit crazy with his knives THEN it turns out he can teleport using his stage lights or something as well.

This game rocks.

Made a bit of progress on Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Two games with obscenely long titles.

I sucked at SASAR when I played the demo, but once I realized that the drifting was done by just holding the button down, while accelerating, it's been much more fun.  I'd been trying do drift like in Ridge Racer or Burnout by letting off the gas, tapping the brake, cutting the wheel into the turn, and hitting the gas again.  Instead of initiating a drift, I'd just swerve akwardly into the walls.
I'm mostly working toward unlocking all the characters at the moment.  Ulala was the main priority, and I'm working down from there.

Playing Pure, it's an ATV game by Black Rock studios.
It's good but really hard, making an ATV to race takes about 5 minutes of choosing parts so I think I may just need to get the right combination.

Just beat Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction.
Well, I'm pretty sold on this series now. Getting used to the heavy emphasis on shooting in a platform game took a little bit of getting used to, but I had a good time.
The large amount of different weapons and items kept the game pretty interesting throughout.  I wish there were a few more of the platforming/clank bits, but otherwise, very few complaints.
It was also genuinely funny at times.  Aside from Brutal Legend, I can't think of a whole lot of games that made me laugh recently.  It'd be nice to have a few more of those kicking around.

Noticed that most platformers now have some type of shooting, Jak & Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Shadow and even Mario Galaxy.

I still haven't gotten around to playing a Jak & Daxter game.  I got my PS2 around the time Guitar Hero II came out, so I've kinda been playing catch up with games on it.  I'm mostly interested in checking them out because I enjoyed the Uncharted games so much.
Hopefully they'll just come out with a collection on PS3 like God of War and the upcoming Sly Collection.
