Split/second and just cause 2.

I think I'm going to end up with explosion overload!

I think that game looks astounding, actually. Tell me how long it takes you to beat though, might rent it instead of buying it.

Should we start taking bets on if it'll be better than Sonic 4?

Finished SOTN yesterday. Really excellent game. Going to try and see how far  I can get with Richter, although it seems like it's going to be really hard.

I was playing toy box mode and thought it was the full game. I played like 5 hours and there is SOOOO much to do. Racing (cars/horse), customizing towns, customizing toys, buying toys, doing missions for toys, pic-0-matic (dress x number of toys a certain way), finding toy parts.

Then you can buy toys with money, also 'new areas' like Sid's House and stuff, they have their own missions.

Then there is single player mode, its rather short it seems. I have not really played it much. but you can unlock extras for toy box mode by playing single player mode.

This is how you should do a kids license game. *Listen SEGA~!*

I played through all of Gears of War 2's campaign in co-op with Kogen the other day. I do not think too much of the first game, but the sequel is a damn classic in almost every way if I am concerned. I have not had this much fun playing through a co-op game for the first time since Gunstar Heroes in 1995 or so I think.

Like seriously, it is about nine hours long but every damn second is big and epic enough to be the biggest scene of any other action game, a few of the scenes even make Bayonetta look wimpy in comparison. Obviously with being an Epic Games title it is a bit glitchy and there are some minor issues with the controls and physics, but who gives a shit, I just fell off of a waterfall and fought a giant fish monster thing by running into his mouth before he completely closed it and chucked a few grenades into his throat.

I beat Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time.
Hands down, my favourite title in the Future trilogy.  I really liked the emphasis on puzzle platforming that they started in Quest for Booty.  Ratchet's echoshift-like levels were pretty great too. My only complaint is that there weren't more of them.

With that game done, I've finally started playing Final Fantasy XIII after having it on my shelf since March. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions, but I'm looking forward to playing through it.  I just wish that it was shorter.  60 hours is a lot of time to commit to one game.

I'm about 6 hours into FFXIII.  So far the battle system seems pretty interesting. At first, the idea of letting the AI select moves seemed pretty lame, but when you factor in the speed of the fights with the changing of character fight styles on the fly, it makes sense.

It's also got some really nice looking environments. I can't think of very many games where I've stopped playing to admire the scenery, but this is one of them.

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade.

One of the best Harvest Moon games by far, though it still doesn't beat Friends of Mineral Town.  Love the depth.  I'm in the fall of my first year.  House, Barn, and Coop upgraded to level 2, I've got about 30,000g, and I have a full field of crops.  Also, I have Renee at 8 hearts, so I only need 1 more heart to propose.

No game on the Wii, save possibly Okami, and the Galaxy titles, has had me this enraptured for this long.  It's so freaking addictive.  These games never get enough support, so if you own a Wii, buy a copy of Animal Parade right now.  Srsly, give these titles the recognition they deserve.  Harvest Moon FTW.

Animal Crossing WW for the Nintendo DS. This is so much fun! I just wish the town was a good bit bigger. And that everything didn't close at 11PM. That fucks me out.

I call shenanigans! Nothing in Gears 2 compares to Temperentia in my eyes!

Although I do agree that Gears 2 is just non-stop action and ups the ante at every opportunity. Very fun game.

I've been playing Fallout 3 Point Lookout and Broken Steel. Just finished them last night, they both added a lot of cool stuff to the game and hours of extra missions and gameplay. Cannot wait for New Vegas now.

Also finished SOTN the other day, can't remember if I said so or not, but that was a brilliant game.

Loved SOTN.

With ToeJam & Earl III done, I needed a new co-op game to play with my girlfriend.  So we decided to start up the first Donkey Kong Country.  I'd never actually put that much time into the first 2 before, but we managed to get right up to the final boss.
Whenever we manage to beat that, I've already got DKC2 downloaded.  All in preparation for the new one.

As far as solo play, I've been making more progress in FFXIII. I'm on chapter 7 right now. Probably around 11 hours or so.

Currently stuck on the boss of Chapter 9 in FFXIII.

Probably the only JRPG I"ve ever played that had so much emphasis on quick reflexes and strategic planning.  It doesn't matter how much level grinding, bosses will end you asap if you let up for a second.
