Those stages were really weird, and we didn't know what we were doing.

It was so unclear are we fighting each other, are we doing co-op. The few stages I played the Co-op didn't make any sense it wasn't like you needed the other players help.

I was playing with my 14, 11, and 10 your cousins and we were all confused.

One of the reasons the night stages are so long partially comes from the fact that you're at low stats at first, and the battles take so long to complete because of that.

I found the werehog level up system on the WiiS2 version to be far better than the HD version.

On a side note, Sonic Unleashed was revealed on April 3rd 2008 and Sonic Colors was revealed on May 20-something 2010.

My guess is that that major Sonic title might see an announcement soon.

Sooner, if there is a leak, of sorts.

Sega's been awfully quite about the future of the Sonic 4 episodic series.

My guess is Sonic Anniversary/Generations announcement this month or next and Sonic 4 Episode 2 announcement in June. Probably an October release or Sonic 4 and a November release for Sonic Anniversary.

GameInformer will reveal its next issue's Cover on Thursday as well (Though it is said to be a sequel to a Highly Anticipated game from 2010, probably Mass Effect 3... or hopefully Bayonetta 2!)

The best thing Colors did was have no introduction. As soon as you press start the game begins.

Unleashed was a mess of a game, but I enjoy it a lot more for a lot of reasons I have seen have already been mentioned here. Some reasons not pointed out are how the controls are much better on the HD releases than Colors, which would change based on your perspective... Such a bad idea for a kids game.

Colors is the first 3D Sonic game since Sonic Adventure 2 that I believe is unarguably good. Not great, but good. Nothing in particular about it is awful or done particularly poorly whereas I enjoy Unleashed more, I could talk about it's issues for hours.

But like with pretty much all side games, Colors is fairly forgettable (notice how people never talk about it anymore already) and just does not share a similar scope to the other releases. Sonic Unleashed was the last platformer I had played for months just because there was so much content overall. If you get rid of the frustration, add in better level design (some of the level mechanics used in every Sonic games for years just are not working and need to go) and bring in rolling and art direction similar to Sonic Adventure 1 and the original trilogy, I would really be happy, even if I know it could never be the same quality of the games I just mentioned.

Check out the comments for this article.  Apart from some guy named Billy, everyone acknowledges that colors was a decent game.  This is the kind of positive reception we haven't seen follow the sonic franchise around in a decade.  All thanks to Sonic Colors.  So basically, you're wrong.

Also, it's not a side game.

Sanus, we understand you dislike Colors. But you are in the minority here.
