I admit, I had to look up the answer to this one... I had never heard of it before but it looks like an amazing game.

Did you find both the 3D game and the 2D? I think you probably found the 2D, the 3D would be harder to find by googling.

Hmm... what I found basically looked like a 2D sprite-scaling game within a 3D space, and the fighters are sprites drawn from multiple angles so it seems they can circle around each other, the camera seems to be able to move forward and back depending on where the fighters are.  The backgrounds are static images but the ground plane has some small details on it so you get a sense of motion as the camera moves.  Really cool diverse character designs.  I didn't Google it but managed to find just enough about it to see that there's not much about it on the internet!

Ok, so you found the 3D game. Not the 2D fighter Sega AM2 worked on, good job on that. I was pretty sure it'd be difficult to find via searching.

Got bad news, I am bored, revealing answers in 3, 2, 1:

The answer to SEGA's first attempt at a 3D fighting game? IS, Dark EDGE!

[youtube:3a46h4tb]SZK9Fix4AVM[/youtube:3a46h4tb]

And the answer to the 2D AM2 fighter? Toshihiro Nagoshi voiced a character, I believe named Jake, but don't quote me on that. It's called Burning Rival and the odd country choice for the time was Canada, it took place in a fictional city called Destiny City, Canada.

Also, in the future I will be sure to follow the one question rule! No more two separate game nonsense!

Oh wow, I would've loved to play a Street Fighter game like Burning Rival. While an Amazing take on 2D (I would love to see something new like this) but typical of AM2 they lack personality.

OutRun, Hang-On, After Burner, Virtua Fighter or anything it seems AM2 go out of their way to make generic characters at one point during Shenmue's development they wanted Ryo to be Ryu.

I'm going to go right out and call you out that Am2 doesn't show personality.

Well I don't know about that, I mean After Burner, Hang-On, kind of hard to make characters for racing games or dog fighters. I think Out Run has good characters, for a racing game.

Also, you mean Akira, not Ryu : P, that is Street Fighter.

No, I mean Ryu. That was the first choice for his name, AM2 decidedly wanted to give him a common name.

They wanted Ryo to be just like another teenager, from Japan ofcourse if they really wanted that they should have made him much shorter.

The Answer is Pyramid Magic, it was for Mega Drive/Genesis and Hirokazu Yasuhara was the major dev involved.

Next question is easy, everybody should know this! Who is Carol Yas?

I know this one he is one of the 3 Sonic creators?

I think it is Hirokazu Yashura only as Naoto Oshima was Big Island, Yuji Naka was either Yu2 or Muji Yuji.

I don't know, but I think in the U.S., outside of some sort of paramilitary organization, it would be impossible to get workers to chant together.  So that rules out Bernie Stolar.
