I don't see the big deal, PS3 still has Final Fantasy XIII and Tekken 6. Its not like they went to Microsoft. Also, they got a well built console that does not die every 6 months for stupid reasons. They got what they paid for.
George , for one thing SONY have had issues in the past, with consoles not well made, the lens in the PS and PS2 were quite poor, and the PS2 had a huge problem with reliability, the 1st models of the PSP was not out with own problems too .
I'll not really try to defend MS dire 360 reliability record , with its older models , only to say , that MS do give out a 3 year guarantee, which pretty much unheard off in the Industry, and the new jasper models seemed to have fixed the problems that plagued the launch consoles
I think if you're buying a Brand New 360 or PS3 reliability isn't that much of an Issue .
Also like to point out , that Drakes II does indeed load , but its cleverly hidden, while viewing the Cut Scenes , I'm sure GOD III does this too , and why they can't be skipped , in most cases 360 games load faster , and one doesn't have wait 10 mins for a game to install
As for Front end and Online , this is one Area that MS cream SONY and all other consoles . The LIVE service is 2nd to none , in the way you can see , what your other mates are doing , chat to them , to matter what game they're playing , or hold private chats , and sending a message is piece of piss , as is reading them , This is one area that SONY are way behind , like with gamer points , which take an age to load up on Sony XMB. It's a non contest with LIVE's front end and easy of use, to SONY's XMB, also to MS credit , it's demo's and Video stay on the servers much longer than SONY's , and the updates (for games) come down far faster
Now as for games , well that a different story , and hard not to be impressed with SONY current offering of Exclusives at the moment
