Just get an ethernet cable and run it down the stairs.

That's what he has to do for his computer at least.  After that, everything else in his area can connect to his computer for the wireless connection.

That would be like 8meters of cable! Not to mention it would look all wtf lool

Actually after a couple of hours my PS3's internet connection stabilized. Hope it stays that way.

Well, if you want better internet.... your gonna need to use that 8 meter cable... 8 meters is about 26 feet, they make ethernet cables that long.

I actually came to the conclusion that it would be more than 8 meters..

But after a smooth online session of Burnout I think it will work fine as long as nobody watches HD channels downstairs while I play.

And I did not know at all about this VidZone thing. This is great stuff!

I was not talking about PS2 or PS1. I was talking about PS3.

The PS3 has had its own issues with failures , only with the PS3 it's called the ["yellow light of death"] And unlike with the 360 if you get that , and the console is more than a year old , you have to pay £80 for it to be fixed.

But I think with the new Slim and Jasper models , these stories are really a non-issue now

3 year for certain problems. But not disc read errors that me and a few friends have gotten.

For the Major problem that dogged the old SKU 360 . And I've had disc read errors on my PS3  (hello Heavy Rain) , my 360 (Ninja Gadien II) , Wii (Smash bro),  and pretty much every CD-Based console , the worst being the Dreamcast . It happens,   and in some cases, its not the console , but poor Quality control with the discs them self's .

That's good then , trouble is for most developers they aren't 1st Party, or In-House . So like I say , most games load faster on the 360 and you don't have to wait for games to install (which took the piss with the likes of DMC)

I don't really like LIVE too much. Cross game chat is the only thing I like. Everything else seems clumsy and really badly orginized. NXE is possibly the worst menu system in the history of menus.

I'll have to disagree with you , For easy of use, access to friends , sending  Invites , chats  LIVE is simply miles out in front of SONY . I do have to laugh there's like a 5 sec delay, when looking at mates Trophies on my PS3 , trying to read messages a pain inthe ass. LIVE is miles out in front , and always has been since its launch . I'll give SONY credit for the number of Online players some of its Big games  support , like KZ II, MAG, GT 5 Pro, and Motostorm though

It is true that Sony has some of the best exclusives, but 360 is doing ok too

I still think MS needs to drop their Live Fee, but really, I would rather pay than use Wii's service.

Of course the PS3 has manufacturing problems, all electronics will. None are perfect. But most of the units that had bad BD drives and YLOD, were the 60gb *which is what I have*. Not that excuses it, but it was a small problem.

Trophy viewing is bullshit on PS3, I agree 100%. Sony needs to learn how to speed that up. But are you paying 3.07 cents a month to view your friends achievements? I don't know how much more complicated sending messages can get then Send Message> User > Write> Send.

Also; Uncharted 2 lets you skip cutscenes, Pause > Skip Movie.

The service is light years behind , SONY have always been 2nd best Online and have always been playing catch Up .

One can't  trail/demo any of the PSN games , one has to install every bloody demo. That's with out things,  like Pretty much every 360 demo is still up on MS servers , unlike with a lot of the demo's on SONY , or the amount of time its takes a update to download on the PSN . Its 2nd best by a long way

Yes I know , so why even the need to bring up silly little issues with some of the 360  discs not working ?, Which  you can pretty say for every Optical Disc based machine . The TROD problem as now been pretty much sorted , and you still get a 3 year Guarantee, So if you buying either a new 360 or PS3 , I don't think one has much to worry about .

I tell you the a few  Area's imo that SONY kick MS inthe Balls (leaving games out of the debate for  a sec)  . The fact that the PS3 has Wireless built in and HardDrive has standard ,  one doesn't need to buy a Recharge pack for the Pad, and the fact that the PS3 has a Web Browser.

There are a decent amount of PSN games with demos.
Usually when there's a demo, you're actually downloading the full game, then download an unlock key once you pay for it.
Some that come to mind are Super Stardust HD, Mega Man 10, Bomberman Ultra, Peggle, Uno, Digger HD, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Super Puzzle Fighter Turbo HD, Trash Panic, Trine, etc...

No, my point is that depending on some design choices you can have your game never load to the user. Tony Hawk devs did a fine job masking it, there is always loading. As long as its not game killing (Fable 2) then I don't mind. I find 'game killing' when I don't want to leave a town because I don't want to watch a loading screen.

My point was , that even though Us Gold Members are subbing Silver Members , X-Box live and its front end,  is on almost every level , far better than SONY PSN , and there's not getting away from that imo.


As for loading , sure we can all highlight games that mass Loading screens well , I remember the likes of Soul Reaver on the PS , pretty amazing back in the day ,even Panzer Dragoon Zwei used a clever hide loaing screen to load boss data in on the fly, and how GTA Auto does what it does , with no loading I'll never know  .   In general most 3rd party games load in faster on the 360 , and you don't need to install games either .

Now if we just stick to games , which is really what console are all about , then its a much harder battle to say which 1 console is the best .

That is true, in the end it is all about the games and it is the reason why I play the PS3 more.

Also, when I try to update Buzz it goes up to about 5% then it just stays there until it errors out. Any idea why?
