That is true for the stretch goals as well... The first stretch goals were for Subtitles... I mean, really?  And then you get stuff like "Battle Event" or "Additional Quest".

If they put the good stuff first, then the funding would slow down once those were achieved. "All right, we got Battle Event... who cares if it's translated into Italian?" As it is, everyone is like, "we've got to get past all these subtitles so we can get to Battle Event!"

There are a lot of people asking for more explanation of what the stretch goals really mean. "Rapport system"... what does it really entail? Some combinations of characters will fight more effectively when together?

Makes sense.

However, they do need to get with the times and change the name to something like SH3NMUE: CATACLYSM.

I kind of think Sony haven't got a choice but to make sure this has a certain level of quality now. By putting this in their conference and showing support for Yu, it's put tremendous focus on them and the Kickstarter. Imagine the backlash if this doesn't materialise or ends up being a half baked product come release day?

I dunno. I might be wrong, but to me, giving Shenmue the leg up puts them on the line too.

Oh you mean like hyping up subpar games like The Order?

Or how about disappointing entry into a mainline series (Gran Turismo 6)

Then there is the complete shambles of the launch that was DriveClub. Least not forget the enhanced demo version Playstation+ members were meant to get that magically... disappeared.

Yeah I don't think you can read anything into this.

Ryo never looked that good on the kick starter... not even close.

This is the kick starter model:

True, but despite those games not turning out great, there was a level of quality to them and this isn't something unknown.

You're probably right, but fingers crossed eh.

Yeah; I was asking if they went back and fixed the kickstarter model.

So just some guy on the Internet then?
No, it's from the Famitsu scan... I assume the KS video is a little old.
