SEGAbits Shenmue III Hype Train! Update: Funded but lets go further!

Lakshya Digital was recently announced as an outsourcing partner with YsNet for the creation of NPCs in Shenmue III. (As you might recall, Yu Suzuki mentioned that Deep Silver's additional funding was going to enable him to increase the number of NPCs in Choubu from 50-60 to 200.) The usual sloppy reporting and trolling has accompanied this announcement, so here are a few facts about Lakshya Digital. They're headquartered in Gurgaon, New Delhi, India and have offices in San Diego and Seattle.

New Shenmue III images have been released today at the 2018 Magic Monaco Pre-Conference. Hopefully we'll see some gameplay footage at the conference next month!

Core Voice Cast Returning for Shenmue Anime Series

The core voice cast from the games will return in the anime.
Also though he’s listed as an executive producer, Yuu Suzuki describes his position more as a “supervisor on the world-building”.
For example, making sure Ryo doesn’t pick up a knife to fight, or that a particular character would or wouldn’t say a particular thing.
Suzuki will also ensure there is a sense of urgency portrayed throughout the series.

Steam Release Announcement

Yes, it is official, Shenmue III will be released on Steam this November 19th.
Game and in-game rewards codes will be available for PC version backers who manually selected the Steam opt-in through the survey during the September/October 2019 survey resend period.
Applicable backers will be able to claim their codes through the “Downloads and Download Codes” section of your survey.

Hello everyone! I never expected that after just over 24 hours of being live here on Kickstarter, we would already have smashed past the intended goal!
That is actually mind blowing to me, but it just goes to reinforce the passion and drive that Shenmue fans have always shown.
