Seems like I'm having the most trouble with the last three stages... I was on pace to break a million at the second 'cutscene,' but came up short at the end (about 900,000, ranked in the 700s).  I'll have to practice with those last stages individually... I really dig the fact that they put that practice mode in there as an option.

As I posted in the review article comments:

Hold down A or the PS3 equivalent at startup to hear the classic SEGA tune.

Thanks, I gathered it was either based on me having previously accomplishing something or a button I didn't realize I was holding down.

I recently bought a big screen (like damn, big, 80 inch) and I have to say...  I am so glad it arrived just in time for this game!  It looks so good when it's massive ;D
