I haven't read the review, so I can't comment on what they meant exactly. I should also quality my earlier comment with that.

I agree you don't want it to be unpredictable as in, it follows a pattern, but you also don't want unpredictable as in one minute it'll find you under a table in another room with it's back turned and the lights turned out, and the next you can fall over in front of it with a bit neon sign saying 'eat me' and it just turns around and scratches it's butt.

You'd think an unpredictable AI would be good as well...but IGN disagrees lol

Not suprising..these guys gave TOTAL WAR and FOOTBALL MANAGER low scores...

Not really surprised with some of the reviews. Some people would obviously prefer less difficult gameplay and perhaps less tension too. Whilst one person might be dissatisfied with the Alien continually on their tail, others would relish the challenge.

George is doing the written review and AJ is doing a video review. We also have a live stream of the game set for release day at around 8pm ET at www.twitch.tv/sega_channel_retro

A game this different is bound to be disliked by some.  The meta critic is hovering at about an 80 right now which is fantastic for a game like this imo.

The rating scores are good but I was expecting them to be GOTY-like.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll get the Xone or the X360 version.

If you have both, why wouldn't you get the Bone version?

I don't know why sites like IGN, Gamespot and Polygon have a total bias about Sega games. Console wars syndrome or an stupid rivalry that doesn't exist with Nintendo anymore? By the way, Sega won in the West, that's why maybe. :P

I mean, they rant about frustration, hard difficult and all things that are subjective for an official recommendation.

It's a rant and with that Metacritic for the game you can really see that.

Kotaku and The Escapist are realized their mistake and have done a recommendation, just like a review needs to do IMO.

That's actually what i like about Kotaku as well, i prefer a simple "yes" rather than an actual point system. Just let me know whether or not i should waste my time with a game or not.

I will most def buy on the XBone if i buy this, not sure why Fernando would choose the X360 option if he has a XOne..

I think everyone has a bias against Sega now, unless you're a mobile phone fetishist.

I think IGN just represent that segment of gamers that cream themselves over Madden and Cowadoody each year and think everything else is just FAKE AND GAY.

They gave God Hand a 3/10 don't forget.

Yeah, honestly I'm more surprised at people being surprised that there are low scores!

It was always going to be a very jarring experience for people, some just do not prefer needing to think out and plan and hide in a locker to lose their pursuer. What some would find extremely repetative and frustrating to other's is exactly the sort of tense survival horror game people are looking for.

Also IGN gave Football Manager a low review because you were playing as a football manager.
