Your not counting both both version I think. The DS and WII version together sold around 800k, according to vgchartz that is.

Yeah I entered this thread to ask the same thing. All I see are VGchartz numbers(which are quite good) but as a lot point out, their not reliable.

They are never reliable unless they copy from Famitsu, Dengaki, NPD or other sales tracker, ignore them entirely.

According to them 'Sonic Colors' was a huge flop in Japan and has less than half-million sold copies...

How can something be a "huge flop" if they never expected it to sell that much? Just because it does not sell 20,000 copies in it's first week does not mean it's a flop, it depends what SEGA's target in Japan is and considering the sales of previous and recent Sonic titles, it will not be huge.

SEGA's sales report will be announced a few weeks after the new year, so best to wait for that report coming out.

Sonic games aren't really like a lot of games where the majority of copies are sold in the first month. A lot of the Sonic fanbase is casual enough to just pick it up a few months down the road.

It used to be in the Mega Drive days , and Sonic Adv was an amazing seller in Japan, given it was a Sonic game.

Neither of any of the original managed to do anything significant in Japan ...

Which any long term sega fan would have known like the back of their respective hand. Unless they started playing games back in 97...

Come on now Joe, we don't need to continue this holyer than thou Sega fan bashing.

If you disagree about some games and things like that that's fine but let's not make it personal.

fact or not, you don't walk down the street and call out 'fatty' to every overweight guy. Some things don't need to be said.

Fact is Sega fans are a rare breed these days and I think everyone thats stuck with it instead of jumping on another band wagon deserves respect.

Too bad the person your defending didn't think of that when he voted to close down the old Sega forum at that place we all use to frequent. Really thinking of sega solidarity then, wasn't he.... Sorry but a spade is a spade in my book and there's no point pretending its otherwise.

To be fair, that forum we used to go to... After a while I started to find a lot of the members rude and irritating, there was a lot of people that used the Sega section as a place to bash Sega and try to rile up Sega fans.

Either way, I'm not defending TA I'm not taking sides here at all I'm simply saying it's time to set aside what ever differences and problems you two have and stop the petty arguments.

Honestly I don't think TA is any less of a Sega fan then anyone here, in fact I've been subscribed to his youtube account for years now and he regulaly updates it with gameplay of old Sega games.

I like you both, I don't see why this has to continue.

You mean the old emulation games off his PC? How Sega! And what petty arguments? Look if i wanted to continue any arguments i'd had just ressurected the topic I left off before work got in the way. I haven't since i returned. All i did was post a comment. If he can't handle that that's his problem, not mine.

What and just allow more and more people to bash SEGA and for us to somehow be Thankful to Jellex for keeping the SEGA part there ?. I was sick and tired of the endless SEGA bashing and somehow we had to show respect and ease off having issues with MS; If you go to that forum now, you'll see some silly twa&t still defending SEGA

You see you've always got to put in the winds ups and flame baits . Its a very nice try, but there a few Saturn games that  will not run tidy on even the best Saturn Emu,  games that use Cybersound (in some cases will have sound issues ) and the likes of Madden 97 have all sorts of issues

Whose flamebaiting? That's childish mate.
And you're calling people defending Sega, twats?
Don't give me that about the forum, man. You voted to close it in favour of an old systems forum which you stated at the time. And the sega bashing or defending didn't stop after the Sega forum got closed down so it was a moot reason. All three of us carried on posting way after the forum got closed down.It wouldn't really matter if it wasn't for the fact that the person who suggested it get closed down was a well known sega hater in that place and you fell hook line and sinker for it.

Yes me .. I'm the silly tw8t still fighting SEGA corner on that  board these days...

I know, and that was because I didn't like how the threat to close down the SEGA section was used against us or even brought up (in a X-Box thread) I hated that.

The SEGA section is still  very much alive and still there .. Its called 'SEGA Forever', and the bashing its very much alive...

SHINING HEARTS shipped more than 160,000 copies in Japan and it's the number one at Playstation Store full price new title.

Without doubt, the most successful title on the SHINING series since SHINING WISDOM.
