I mean heck, the Sonic Riders series was their most popular Sonic racing games, yet they put a bullet in it because of Sonic Free Riders, which was just an experimental Kinect game. I'd much rather have Team Sonic Racing on hoverboards than sloppy-seconds from the All-Star racing games.

I guess this is why experimental game using established francise is kinda dangerous..
It could kill the franchise since higher ups sometimes only see the numbers..
Warioware has same problem with Warioware Snapped (DSi).
It's supposed to be experimental game using DSi camera but the review was very very bad.
They revived the franchise again may years later with Warioware Gold
but in the ending line of 3DS lifeline.

I agree.I mean not even the Steam Machine has that much buzz, you'd think it would. Sega fans would perhaps regard Sega's gaming PC as the sixth Sega console but I doubt it would have as much attention as Dreamcast had starting out. And even if mass producing such PCs would be cheaper it would still probably be too costly for sega's part.

I just wanna see what new console they would come up with. Especially for Sega Hard Girls.

According to Neptunia franchise,
if SEGA didn't quit the console business,
their console will be Neptune,
using name from their previous unreleased console.

In yet Nintendo are still willing to make WarioWare games despite bad games in the past. Because they know the WarioWare games were still popular... for some reason.
Sega are like "Oh, this installment to the series didn't sell well. Might as well kill the spin-off series."

I thought the Sega Neptune was a cancelled console before the Sega Saturn? Because the Mega Drive had the Sega CD and 32X attachments that made the whole thing look ugly and require three plugs to power the whole mess, the Sega Neptune was suppose to be like a new Mega Drive that plays 32X and CD games.

They are always asking fans first though before releasing one :

https://games.mxdwn.com/news/nintendo-sends-out-survey-asking-fans-if-they-want-a-50-warioware-game/
https://nintendosoup.com/nintendo-now-asking-fans-about-how-much-they-would-pay-for-the-next-warioware-game/

That doesn't happen to other franchises of them.

SEGA did asked via survey which franchises fans would be revived.
And the top poll back then was Sakura Wars, so they did make a new game of it.
Shinobi couldn't even make to the top 10.

Yep, but that was canceled so the name was used to the new console that would be the rival of Wii, PS3, and XBox360.

There are also other characters based on Game Gear successor (Nepgear) and based on SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis (Plutia).
Much like her sister who represents a fictitious Sega Console, Nepgear represents a fictitious Sega Handheld (N-Gear).
N-Gear's rival would be NDS (Rom & Ram) and Uni (PSP)

Plutia has two personalities.
One is very calm (based on Mega Drive) and the other one is very aggresive (based on Genesis).

It's really make a funny story when Neptunia  characters met with SEGA Hard Girls characters in their crossover game.

Ouch! That probably bruised Shinobi's chance of a revival.

I enjoyed SNvsSHG, only got half way through with it though. But yeah I knew of some of these comparisons but not all of them.

Is there any chance for a PC gamer, like myself, to enjoy the Panzer Dragoon series? As far as I know, there were no titles of the series published on PC. Can I emulate them? If so which part should I start with? I have never owned a console and currently, I have absolutely no budget for it but I can't deny that there are certain console titles that I would really love to play.

Of course if what you wanted is the original ones you could always download SEGA Saturn Emulator (Yabause) and play the Saturn CDs / ISOs from there.

One of them has package illustration drawn by Katsumi Yokota best expresses the world view of the work.
With that world view as a motif, we designed a title name that expresses the world view on the top and left and right letters of the illustration.
At the bottom, there are opening story description, the empire mark, and the Azel excavated from the ruins of the old century.
