Yes, we still have a forum.
Since This Judgment TV series is made by Japan while the upcoming Yakuza movie would be made by western and Sonic 1-2 made by western but from different production house, it's hard to connect or use cameos from each others.
“(No,) but I hear the voices. I hear people say, ‘Why doesn’t he just be funny?’ That stuff has just never mattered to me. To me, it’s like, this is the experiment tonight. If you enjoy it, great. If you don’t, that’s cool too. There’ll be another one tomorrow.”
Did Jim Carrey Feel Obligated to Return to Broad Comedy for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’? ‘I Hear the Voices’Article : https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jim-carrey-obligated-return-broad-comedy-sonic-the-hedgehog.html/
I know Dr. Robotnik is suppose to be a mad scientist, but I don't want Jim Carrey to feel obligated to be more hammy for the role than he needs to be. He was just the right levels of it in the first movie.
By voices, he doesn't mean like, head-voices right?
I'm sure it means voices from social media (twitter, facebook, instagram, etc.)But still this is Jim Carey we're talking about, so may be it's a pun or anecdote for that head-voices too.
I think people hearing voices in their head is more common problem than it appears and shouldn't be joked about in cartoons. But regardless I liked Jim Carrey's performance in the first movie. Not too Riddler, not too Cable Guy. I don't want him to end up too over-the-top like Mask or Ace Ventura.
But I like Ace Ventura. The first one at least, the second one's just compilation of jokes, feels like a Mr. Bean series.
I'm just saying Mr. Carrey's range of acting is more than just comedy or buffoonery. He's done dramas and tradegy before.I just don't want him to think "Wow! People like how I did Robotnik in the first movie! I should go all out in the next one!" and accidentally joygasm on set again. No one needs to see Jim do that again.
Yeah, that could happen.Actor's performance changed drastically in the sequel. It's up to the director to stop them from going there.
Being his costume looks more similar to Dr. Eggman now I wouldn't be surprise if he'll feel the need to be a bit more hammy with his role.
Yeah.. He also did that unnecessary robotic move during the after credit scene..Still we don't know how long he'll appear in the 2nd movie.
My guess he was mimicing the Death Egg Robot from Sonic 2.
Ahh.. right... I didn't think that far. Now it make sense. In his mind, he's already planning to make Death Egg Robo.
