Only 4-5 people getting it for PS3?
I think there's no point in getting the PS3 version if you can get the 360 one. Unless you really prefer it's controller or have some personal reason to do it..

I'll be getting the ps3 version over the 360 one.
The console is quieter, less likely to break from playing it, and it won't cost me any money to play online.
Plus my brother is ps3 only and will be getting it too.

Only concern I have for getting it for the PS3 is the lack of interest compared to what the 360 users are showing. Free online wouldn't be an advantage if there was no one online lol.

I have no issues with finding people to play online with on PSN.  :|

Also, Banjo for what I heard is overpowered. So, I'm glad I won't have to deal with that.

I meant in just this game's case as it isn't popular in general to begin with.

Banjo seems a bit out of place to me. Kind of like a "Hey I can be in this game too you know!!".

Well a few months after the SST was out, I tried to connect on live to play and there was only 1 person online. So I would not expect a huge following for this one either.

I think games like this could learn about games like Halo or MAG. I mean, its a fun racer offline, but not many seem to try and 'innovate' online or add more to it. The game will have basic racing modes online and its great I guess, but would have been awesome of they added perks that unlocked more items.

Doesn't this game have a store?

SST was doomed from the beginning because it's Tennis and has a cartoon style.

Kart racers on the other hand are very popular (Mario Kart). I chose Halo and MAG because in my opinion they're the most generic of generic FPS.

It needs advertising and I don't think anyone knows about it.

Selling millions is a doomed game?

What was it, Final Fantasy Tennis?

I have a feeling that most of the audience of SST don't even know what online gaming is.

I knew there was a reason they weren't talking about it... And only 3 battle maps? This is probably the worst thing I've heard about the game so far.

While I'm still getting the game, that is a serious blow to the 'fun factor'.

I'm really impressed with the mechanics of the game and the levels are nice looking... Beyond that the game has been handled like shit.

-The countless missed opportunities for fan service and inclusion of new IPs that just seem so damn obvious. (ie, weapons...)

-Why so many tracks based on so little IPs?... and some of the choises... Billy Hatcher? Sonic Heroes? nobody likes these games.

-7 sonic characters... really?

- and now the gimped battle mode?

-an yes, While trivial, that bloody long arse name still grinds...

At first I couldn't see why people would say Mario Kart was better, because the mechanics are great, more fun the mario kart... But all the little things add up and I think Sumo/S0L have really dicked us over on this one.

I could see a DLC weapons pack or similar b.s.  I think some of this might be addressed that way (DLC).

Anyway, I've been waiting for the PSN demo all week.  I'll post impressions of that version if nobody else has.

Battle mode is something you need to use with friends, so no AI at all. They realize Sonic fans do not have IRL friends so they decided to keep it minimal.

But for that, I think the amount of game types in battle mode is pretty cool. AFAIK Mario Kart does not have stuff like King of the Hill and Catch the Chao.

The level choices is the worst part of the game for me. I can understand they would have to base most/all off of 3D games, but at least use some games people played... I have no idea how they even made 3 Samba De Amigo levels, or who would even want any... Why would they not use levels from actual SEGA racing games when stuff like Daytona USA is the most iconic racing game of all time? What about that time in the dev diary where S0L hinted at them using an R-Tuned level? Do not get our hopes up like that man!

They just did not think of it, I guess. All of the items we saw early on were just filler and replaced with other generic items... I have no idea why they used some items from Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Monkey Ball but then decided to call it a day?

Guess I'm back to considering if I'll get the game on top of my platform dilemma.

For those who were getting it for PC, they said PC version doesn't have online.
