The Rise from the Ashes case in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney while my little brother plays Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. At night. (free cookie if anyone saw what I did for my last line)

Dear Final Fantasy 13,

You are now officially ticking me off and my patience is starting to wear thin. At this point in chapter 11, the story is just not interesting anymore, it is getting pretty much redundant.

I think I'll lay you off for a while, OK?

Just finished Shadows of the Damned. Awesome game! Gonna go for the 1000/1000 on this one.

Not sure what I should play next though.

FUCK! What was I thinking?? I played Sonic '06 this morning. I just wanted to get a taste of Crisis City, to see what Generations would have to work with... but then I jumped back into my saved game and tried Flame Core. What an awful stage in an awful game. Fuck the 2006 Sonic Team.

On a lighter note, played Just Cause 2 yesterday. Stole an airplane at the airport and lodged it between the walls of the entrance to the air strip. Caused a huge pileup of planes which I then blew up, taking out a lot of guards and a few fuel tanks. Then I hopped on a departing plane and flew it into a military harbor, killing myself. What a fun way to spend a Saturday. :)

It's funny that you posted this because I was just thinking I wanted to replay Sonic 06 because I haven't played it in a while. I realize most of you on here have no love for the game but I do genuinely enjoy it. So I plan on playing that soon as well as finishing up my second playthrough of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

It was so aggravating because of how lousy the game was at doing just about anything. Often, I had to keep my hands off the pad, lest Sonic goes off in some crazy direction during a scripted scene. God forbid I hold forward while Sonic is running forward. :P Or the dash pads in Flame Core doing zilch, usually sending me into an enemy or not doing their job, like running up a wall is way too difficult. Or the high speed sections.

Anyway, Sonic '06 criticism has been going on since '06, so I'll stop. Everybody knows the story.

Though I'll admit, as much as I hate the game I find myself picking it up just to experience the awfulness. Sort of like popping in an awful film like The Beast of Yucca Flats or Batman & Robin.

Playing through the first Half-Life, has some aging issues, but overall it is still solid and a good game.

Love Half-Life! I'm not into FPS games that much but I do really enjoy the Half-Life games.

A little more Final Fantasy XIII.

But quite honestly, after almost 30 hours of gameplay in, I feel cheated.

After I finish this game, I have a mind to write a full text on how Resonance of Fate is so much better than this one.

You see, I spent the first half of the 3rd disc basically roaming around in a largely plotless and redundant storyline, if it wasn't for the constant fights, I would simply shut it off of boredom.

The bosses, especially the last one before the end of chapter 11, however, are becoming very cheap.

Agreed, I pretty much only like Halo (1 and 2, not much of the ones afterward) and Half-life, I recently replayed the first Halo too.

The main aging issues I feel are the ladder design, annoying to try and get on and off, platforming is horrid, hate it. Very few games can properly pull off first person platforming, the best examples I can think of are the Geograph Seal/Jumping Flash titles by Exact. I also don't like how long it takes to kill human troops, they are harder to kill than most of the Aliens, and I also feel like the environment is generally a larger threat to me than enemies. Which I think defeats the point of the games good (for the time) AI.

Still a good game though : )

Using MS points that I received via promos and surveys, I picked up two Sonic Unleashed DLC packs. Adabat's DLC is damn fun, though very short. Same goes for Empire City's DLC. I was disappointed in Mazuri's DLC, though I did like the hard mode of Act 1.
