Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins on the Caanoo. Great little portable game. Bosses are rather easy, and it's a short game, but I'm enjoying it. Just two more golden coins to go!
That's the first game that I ever beat.

The first game that I ever beat was Demon Attack for the Atari 2600.  After playing one game for 6 hours straight, the screen turned to static.  I thought my TV was broken.

That must have been pretty terrifying. The only time something like that happened to me, was when my original PS3 bricked while playing Infamous.

Bought Billy Hatcher for $5 at a used game stor last night. Played it for a bit, it really isn't half bad! Sort of like Katamari meets Monkey Ball. Interested to see how the game pans out.

Also picked up F-Zero GX for $5, insanely awesome game! Totally a SEGA arcade racer. I'm loving it!

Shining in the Darkness has aged horribly, and probably wasn't that great to start with. I tried doing what you plan to do once but gave up on Shining in the Darkness pretty early.
Good luck though!

As for me, I'm just playing The Witcher at the moment. Haven't really had much drive to play games these last few weeks, or at least after finishing Ninja Gaiden, which was excellent.

I am really keen to try out Shadows of the Damned though, and will probably pick it up this week.

I beat X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
I'd give it a solid "B" rating. It's pretty rough around the edges (the odd audio/visual glitch, repetitive boss fights, arbitrary puzzles..), but it's still pretty fun. And fun counts for a lot.

I beat Shining in the Darkness orignally when it came out, but I don't remember much about it.  I'm a ways into it now, and I still enjoy it, except even with maps, following along where you are is difficult.  I get disoriented after every fight, and there is a certain amount of grinding required.

I just beat Albert Odyssey.  Really fun Saturn RPG.  Last night I actually fought the North Tower boss in my sleep.  I woke up with the sound of him dying and disintegrating.  I couldn't believe I had done that, but my wife doesn't see why it's a big deal.

Wow, I got to disc 2 of Final Fantasy 13 pretty quickly, I think.

The game's finally getting into somewhere interesting, but still, character upgrading is a little pointless, I think. You can't increase the Cristarium level until the game says so, so right now, I'm just accumulating a lot of CP points that right now I have no use for.

I could've used some more spoils to increase the level of my weapons, now that would good, but those are hard to come by.

You can buy them from the save points. There's an item you can buy that just increases the multiplier that your equipment levels up by. Then you can level them up very quickly with a more expensive item, because you'll be getting 4x the EXP.

Yeah, I noticed. I sold a lot of extra weapons and accesories that I found to get a lot of gil, I used the extra money to buy those useful upgrade stuff to increase my weapons by a lot. It was very useful.

The equipment upgradding was really the only part of FFXIII that I really didn't like. It seems pretty arbitrary and doesn't really make much sense.

I barely changed switched any weapons thus far, I've only changed Lightining's weapon once and everyone else has the same.

Uhh, decided I was done with Far Cry 2, was about 2 hours from finishing and just got burnt out. Right now I am playing Wind Waker on Dolphin, Team Fortress 2, Shenmue... and Serious Sam: TSE HD.

I want OOT 3D : / but I will not cave to these preposterous $40 price tags.
