@CrazyTails:
Thanks :D.
Necessity is the mother of invention, and all that.

I think I'll keep playing for that shield, and the rest of the heart pieces/goddess cubes/gratitude crystals. As long as I beat one more game before December 31st, I'll be happy.

Okay, I decided to finish off the rest of the Story Missions in RDR.

Not much longer now. I just wish they had finished the game right there. I mean, the story's officially over, why do I need to keep more of the same stuff I already did early on in the game?

I played a decent amount of Arkham City last night. I beat the bit in the museum, and figured it was a good place to take a break. The game's growing on me, but I don't see myself going for the Platinum Trophy like I did in Arkham Asylum.

Not much to say...

Finished Red Dead Redemption. I wish the game had ended much sooner, but oh well, it's a good ending.

Picked up 'Splosion Man again only to have to put it down after the last few stages where it was just me swearing at the top of my lungs because of cheap deaths caused by either lack of childlike reflexes or unresponsive controls.

Then I started playing Sonic CD and tonight I'm playin' the final level.

Playing through Vanquish on Hard.  I really like that game.  The best Platinum Game for me so far.  I also have been playing Sonic Generations here and there.

After I finished a lot of stuff on Red Dead Redemption, I finally got bored with the game and decided to move on, I moved on to Star Ocean: The Last Hope on Xbox 360.

And quite frankly I'm surprised at how good it is. Of all the Tri-Ace games I've played thus far, this one is up there with Resonance of Fate. Apart from Infinite Undiscovery, Tri-Ace is actually a pretty good dev.

The only major flaw I could point out in this game is the actual dungeon exploration, the outdoor areas and towns are all fine and dandy, but it's the dungeons that annoy the heck out of me.

The very first one is kinda annoying because the design is bland and sometimes it's hard to tell exactly where are you supposed to go and what to do.

The second major flaw is voice acting and manner, one character who is not even a playable character on the team, I don't want to spoil it, but when you see her you'll know what I mean. Annoying voice and her attemps to be funny actually come across as being mildly offensive.

And another character who for some odd reason, talks... like... this...(with frequence monotone pauses between words).

Playing ALOT of deus ex lately. I had been playing it a little bit so now and then, but never had time to play it more intensely.

So I passed the second boss now and this may probably end up being my GOTY if it stays this epic

iOS version of Sonic CD. Touch controls are great, but Metal Sonic is difficult. Finally beat him, and the game. Just need to complete time attack.

Have to finish Metallic Madness on the console version for time attack mode, then I get to play with all the fun extras. :)

More Star Ocean: The Last Hope... Jesus, the dungeon I was in is big enough to be the final dungeon in a Final Fantasy game, and it's only like the third one in the entire game. And a lot of it is just pointless padding 'cause many rooms are completely indentical.

But it's worth it just for a lot of those funny and neat character moments, except again for that NPC character who just made an incest joke that's so tasteless even Bill Maher would get disgusted.

Gawd it's been ages since I posted here, i'll just post what I've been playing recently.
Before Christmas I was still playing lots of UMVC3. Theres so many fun characters and gameplay styles to play in this game, theres about 4 teams I was using regularly

Frank West/Ghost Rider/Skrull - Main team, revolving around using Skrulls assist to extend Frank's combos to get him leveled up. Ghost Rider for zoning (especially with Frank's cart assist) then Super Skrull in LV3 X Factor is a beast.

Nemesis/Ghost Rider/Dormammu - Started working on extending Nemesis combos with wall-bounces and the like, he's just a fun character overall though, and very hard hitting. Ghost Rider rawks and is probably my favourite char in the game and I've been slowly getting better with Dormammu and utilizing his air dashes to get in easier etc. As an anchor he can use that meter really effectively too.

Taskmaster/Chris/Arthur - Zoning team. Just jump back 'I SEE YOU' arrows with Tasky (occasional E-Z mode combos with him too that do huge damage. Chris is all about shoot-cancelling into Magnum (EAT LEAD) and stuff like that. Then Arthur in gold armour and XF3 is just lol (HOW IS YOUR SPEED? HOW IS YOUR SPEED? HOW IS YOUR SPEED?).

Haggar/Frank/Hawkeye - Just because Haggar is fun as hell to play as, and his dropkick now relaunches guys from the ground. He can raw tag to frank after Rapid Punch super for a quick Level up to LVL 3 Frank and Hawkeye is just a character I wanted to learn and get better with.

Was also playing King of Fighters XIII, which is just a fan-bloody-tastic game. Awesome fighter that I really love, probably more than UMVC3 to be honest. Too bad the netcode sucks so it's harder to find good matches.

I dropped the fighting games around Christmas though, mainly because I just wanted a change of pace for a bit of single player games instead. Been playing lots of Halo Anniversary, which I'm enjoying more than I thought I would. It's really a fantastic remake of the game, made all the more nostalgic that I was playing it on Christmas Day, just like I played the first Halo on Christmas Day years and years ago.

Also been playing Shogun 2 - Wow, I was really sleeping on this game for a long time. I had started several campaigns but never finished them until a few days ago when I beat the Oda campaign. I immediately started on a Mori campaign after that and now I'm addicted to Total War again. Cannot wait for Fall of the Samurai next year!

My Sonic 4: Episode I save file got corrupted for some reason, I lost all the data and worst all the Chaos Emeralds. Screw this! Seriously...

But anyway, back to Star Ocean: The Last Hope, I have to say that at the 20 hour-mark, the plot is getting pretty weird and really far-out. Far-out in a sense that the plot(especially the main goal) keeps changing up every 5 hours or so. It's like Star Trek melted with different episodes of The Twilight Zone.

The last 4 hours were pretty weird...
I crashed-landed on Planet Earth, yes the actual Planet Earth, but apparentely it is set 150-years before the events of the game. Edge and crew land in an Area 51-type facility where a lady scientist convinces Edge into giving up the ship's crystal core thingamajig to stop the event that led to Earth's annihilation in the future. But as it turns out, she wanted it to build an anti-matter generator, but it goes haywire, Edge and crew escape, but planet Earth was completely vaporized.

Now the twist was that it wasn't their Earth, an alternate dimension, removed from regular time and space, since if their Earth was destroyed, Reimi and Edge would not be standing there. Reimi and everybody finds confort in this news, except Edge who is rightfully mad and depressed over the fact that he was indirectly responsible for destroying an entire planet.

So right now, the optimistic Edge is now a typical JRPG emo main character and I feel like it's bogging the story down.

But oh, well...
I finished the main story in Batman: Arkham City last night.
I was really hoping to beat it before New Years, because that brought me up to an even 40 games that I've managed to beat this year. I'll probably keep playing it to finish all the side missions and such. The game's grown on me quite a bit since I first started playing it.

After that I'm thinking Child of Eden will be a nice change of pace.

Still playin' Star Ocean: The Last Hope...

Moved up to disc 2. After another series of weird plot twists, I'm going to find some weird sage character.

I need to finish Child of Eden. I stopped playing because I was moving too fast through the game. I sorta wanted to hold off until the winter to complete it. Because god knows that winters where I live result in a LOT of time indoors.

Played Sonic 4 Episode 1 after the announcement of Episode 2. Given that so much has been promised to be fixed, I wasn't so bothered by the downsides of the game. Hope they patch it though once Ep 2 releases. At the very least, tweak the physics a little and remove uncurling. I'd also like to see the new animations implemented. Whatever they are.

Played more Super Mario Galaxy. Great little game, though I can't play it for long spurts. I get a little bored after an hour or so.

Downloaded Fluidity off of Wiiware using Club Nintendo points. Great game! Reminds me of something I'd find on the iPhone.

Speaking of the iPhone, played Jetpack Joyride on my dad's iPhone over the Christmas break. Great game! Simple, but very addicting. Plus, it's free!
