Going to be honest I never respected Richard Jaques, but after this,  i'm now a fan.

Also, these vids...oh man the vids.
The game looks so juicy

Holy shit, awesome Truesonic!  I'm watching your stream right now too.  Is it out at all Toys R Us, or just select areas?  I guess I could just call.

Never respected RJ??? :(

Edit: also @ crackdude

Yeah many people would find that strange, and I understand. But I was never really a fan of his work. For the sonic franchise it was hit and miss, and other franchises it was allright. Not that he was bad, but i preferred sega's music team over his work.

I think I take everything back today. His work is just amazing. The game's themesong beside all the remixes, is great in itself!

Some naughty boys and girls have seemingly illegally downloaded the game and dug through the files, they found:
Team Fortress 2 files, in which three different characters from that game operate each land transformation. This is most likely a PC exclusive and data just remained on the console versions. I remember now that Banjo-Kazooie was on other versions of the games, but not playable.
the ultimate final racer:
is referred to in the files as "Segabot" and there is no clear character. Rather elements of a SEGA Saturn Dreamcast (correction), a VMU, the After Burner Jet and the Daytona Hornet all exist. I assume this is a transforming vehicle that is vehicle only, no racer
Cameos and other tidbits:
Segata Sanshiro appears in a cameo folder, he most likely will exist in the final track.

Also, Alex Kidd exists in the racers data, but as we know he is not in the game. Could be that he was cancelled mid-development OR he will be DLC
Ok so i'm not reading or watching any of the spoilers. But has anyone of you seen the skies of arcadia track, and how is it?

I'm so tempted to ask about what music plays, but i'd rather keep that as a surprise too. Is the music any good though?

Consider yourself lucky! I'm avoiding any videos of the final tracks.

Haven't seen the SoA track yet.. wait, Truesonic is playing it on his stream now!

---

Music sounds great! I think you have nothing to fear.

btw, edited the final unlock info I posted
the Dreamcast, not the Saturn, was found in the Segabot racer. It could be Dreamcast boat, Hornet car and After Burner jet
---

Holy shit,
there is a rolling start in the game. Not the music or anything, but some missions begin with rolling starts, and as such it is shown on screen as bing a "rolling start".
<- not really a spoiler, but I hid it anyway.

That Ultimate Racer sounds freaking awesome. I'm getting this game now.

Don't worry anti-spoiler guys, you know me.. If something excites me this much it's because it'll just be confusing lol

Ain't gonna lie, but this game feels a hell alot more of a true Sega arcade racer than the last game. I should be able to pick up this game on Thursday from Toys R Us and get the Wii U version by Sunday. The tracks are so magnificient, also shed a tear watching the opening video.

If we ever get a new game, please Sega Europe can we get our fan favorites back from the 90's and some JP-only characters.

Welp, went to two different Toys r uses today and found nothing.  Oh well.

After watching truesonic's stream, I think all this game needs is a better roster (some phantasy star representation yo!).  Hopefully they can fix this with DLC.

Also apparently some people dug up info suggesting a Shogun and Football manager character was in development at some point.  And to think we were all laughing about that possibility only a month ago.

Wouldn't want that either. Rather have Vectorman and Sakura.

damn, I forgot to ask this question but one of the more disappointing things about the original was the lack of a multiplayer grand prix mode.  Has that been fixed?  Or hell, maybe a "make your own grand prix" mode?
